That is shitty to hear man. I had issues with their tunes too and now I'm with Church Performance. I'm not sure if they send "flash and go" tunes, but there has never been any issues that myself or John at Crawford Performance have heard of. You just need to find a local tuner that does conservative tunes, not full race tunes. It's too bad you don't live in SoCal where you can just drive to his shop. Best of luck man! It took me my 2nd built block to get the tuner right.

Anybody else had a problem with the base kits turbo? I'm really interested in this kit. Just went through the whole thread. I'm leaning in getting the single scroll el kit with the gtx28 upgrade.

I haven't heard of any problems coming from the gtx upgrades, and that's what I went with for my kit. I'm sure precision can make a good turbo, but I'd rather have water cooling capabilities in addition to the straight oil.

I haven't installed my kit yet, but I was mainly taking about reliability and longevity. I'll have an oil cooler and catch can obviously to keep things cool and clean. It's my dd, so I have no intention of cheaping out on stuff that'll be used on a daily basis.
That being said I'm sure plenty of people run just oil cooled turbos on a daily basis without a problem, I just don't wanna risk coking my turbo shaft from excess heat.
