Went on a ride with my pops. He really loves his half a Honda Fit......I mean NC700. Took me down a narrow rough road that had no center line. Was a lot of fun, would like to hit it up again at night so I’d have some indication if cars are oncoming.

They are, it's just unpleasant when an oncoming car also thinks of them that way.

Reminds me of the three lane roads in France, where the person IN the middle lane, going either direction, had the right of way.

Getting my motorcycle learner's permit this week. Then PA Motorcycle Safety Course for two weeks, then license. Probably no bike until next year at least since I am moving, but one hurdle down.

Having driven many back roads in the dark, I can assure you, it's far more fun in the daylight. Cars coming the other way aren't the only thing you have to worry about.

I'm sure you could look up Red Dog Saloon and see exactly what kind of dive bar it it.

In case JD sees that, a Saloon is a term for a bar around these parts, as it should be. It is not meant as the wrong way to say sedan.

This road in particular is only about a lane and a third at most. I don't think that would be enough.

I'm going that way again tomorrow. I will stop and take a picture.

had that on tail of the dragon last time i went. had to pull over and check my pants. i'm extremely careful to stay at least 6" minimum on my side of the line, because i know a lot of sportbike guys love pushing it there, and i don't want to meet them. but this time it was an integra that entered the corner about 30mph too fast and under-steered into the outer lane. if i hadn't had left 2' that time, it would've been a very different outcome.

that's the stuff of nightmares for me, to see a car coming at me with the front-outside tire rolling over while the body roll is trying to pick up the inside rear...

I enjoy night runs. I am aware of the furry critters running around. And make no mistake. I never got out and do a 10/10ths bomb down a public road. This one is extremely bumpy from all the tree roots growing under it.

It's a signed public road. Has corner speed signs, no center line warning sign. Doesn't say private.
