As far as I know, besides rich ppl, there are also young guys who cuts on their living expenses just to have the "Volk" wheels for the reasons you mentioned. At the present moment of my life, I will never be able to justify myself to spend that much money on a set of wheels because I would rather put that money into buying more seat time at the track instead of owning a set of "High-Status" wheels.

That said, I don't dislike volk wheels. In fact, I love them. They are one of the best wheels you can get for your car - light, strong, good looking, etc. But, I think you have a bigger problem to take care if you need to have a set of Volk wheels or boutique clothes to have a self-esteem high enough to go hang out with other people or living in the environment where such things are prerequisites.
I agree with 100% of that.

Except that I spend my extra car money on racing instead of DEs

i'm a native Angeleno and that scene has never appealed to me for anything other than peeping some fly females on the rare occasion I find myself lurking around Sunset blvd. go to Beverly Hills and you'll find most people there, tourists or not, are all trying to look like they're a "somebody". i'm not into mainstream society, just doing my own thing....whatever that so happens to be. ENKEI FTW!!!

I LOVE Volks, no doubt, but I'm not going to break my neck to own a set. Gram Lights, Enkei or something at that cost will more than suffice.

Sorry guys if i opened up a can of worms with that post! Im a clinical psychology major and I actually deal with this kind of thing in this this field.

Understanding the mentality of the rich and famous is at most insane. Its more effective to generalize first, then adjust, as every person and situation is different.

But like you guys, and myself.. Yeah id sacrifice some money to buy a nice set of wheels even if i can barely afford it. but for personal reasons, not social reasons.

Buying nice things IS a luxury that everyone should be free to do. Having an obligation to have nice things is really fucking nuts..but that population of people are out there.

You guys in this forum are alright and awesome!

I was just trying to answer the question about that red sticker from my own professional occupation.

Piano Black or Silver?
I like silver, but I think piano black is the only color available in the U.S.

I don't know if it's 100% correct, but that is what appears in the 2012 catalog:

Little difficult to find, but Enkei does make rpf1 in gunmetal or bronze.

In fact, Enkei can make any wheels that are currently being offered by them in a custom pcd (5x100) and color when their minimum order quantity is met.
