At the very least, if it is written off maybe it can be used as a prop for next season of Walking Dead. Imagine drifting into a crowd of zombies.

Olivia Lives!
Well, still not sure how much my 86 is worth with almost 200K miles on it but, it's more than $5,506.89 + Salvage value.
Of that, $2009.54 is parts, with the remainder being 42.4 hours of body labor, 16.5 hours of paint labor, 0.5 hours of mechanical labor and 16.5 hours of "Paint Supplies" whatever that is. State Farm gave the go ahead to repair the car yesterday. They are using used parts for the trunk lid assembly and a reinforcement bar. Everything else is OEM new. Parts are on order and they predict it could take two to three weeks to get the parts in and complete the work. They had to do a tear down to access the damage, so hopefully there won't be any surprises.

Yay inflation and chip shortages ha! Pretty soon everywhere will look like Cuba with beautiful classics lining the streets. Seriously though that's great news. I had a feeling it wouldn't be too terrible.

It had to be razer thin close. The KBB on my car for Private Sale was $5,500 to about $7,900. I'm assuming KBB lags behind reality, but I can't imagine my car is worth much more then the higher end.
Carvana's offer for it (unmolested of course) is about $4,500 if you enter in the data.

Got an update today. All the parts are in and the metal work is well underway. Still looks like the earliest I'll get it back is March 1st.
One interesting tidbit is the shop I have it in says that while they have it in the paint booth they look it over for any other spots of concern (missing paint, etc) and as long as it doesn't add up to more than a couple of hours they take care of it. That will include the curb rash I have under my front bumper which is nice. That's been bothering me for a while as I don't know how it got there.
