Today, mrs humfrz and I drove up to the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls for brunch.

We had a gift certificate from our youngest son. Yep, not enough to spend the night ($450 per night) but plenty for two "country breakfasts" ($98).

I parked so I didn't have to back up, so ......... we did not crash .......

MomHawk and I took a little cruise through the mountains this past weekend including a run up the Tail of the Dragon, we did not crash. It was definitely a great time though, give manual mode a workout!

We even got a couple of good pictures shot by the local photo guys you can see here.

I did pass the fellow driver below heading in the "other" direction (he was running TN->NC and I was running NC<-TN). Unfortunately we missed crossing at one of the two photo spots by under a minute. I would have loved to have had a photo of us passing in the curves.

Coming home late from the gym, stopped at a red light.
Light turns green but didn't hit the gas immediately as I usually do since I skimmed a text message on the head unit.
Look up to go and a cyclist zooms by on the cross street.
Would've gotten hit by cyclist if I had went immediately on green light.

Thank you friend for texting me, didn't crash.

Bought my '14 Monogram Firestorm FR-S in April of this year.
Rolled her twice on August 22nd.

Saddest day let alone 3 weeks of my life. She was perfect.
Purchased my '17 86 at the end of September.

As you can tell drove her today and I did not crash... or roll.

Got my first drive in my new-to-me 86 today and ended up getting a little bit lost in an unfamiliar city. Needed to pull over to use the GPS then got stuck behind a truck for 12 km on a nice twisty back road before entering some busy suburbs where I was headed...

Did not crash!

Yep, that was a close one fer sure.

Why did you let your car idle in the driveway for an extended time ..??

Idling is hard on an engine .... donja know.

Besides, someone might have stolen it ...... and maybe crashed .....

I wanted to see how much better it would start compared to OEM (faster as expected) and since it's too snowy and icy to drive I let it run for 5 minutes to warm up the fluids. Now it'll sit there until the ice and salt are gone (I don't want to spend extra $$ for snow tires nor do I want to risk some imbecile sliding into me).

This thread cracks me up. I had to share it with my wife who was upset that I tried to drive my 86 with summer tires in freezing weather. Now, i've pretty much left it parked during the cold and snow to drive my old Integra around in the weather instead, but you got to take it out once in awhile to keep the battery and engine in good shape. Much to her surprise, I drove it and did not crash!

Technically not applicable to cars but the description more informative once the terminology is understood.
