I'm not a fan of fog-light mounting solutions, as I'd rather reserve that space for brake ducting.

Although it's not a concern for most, venting air out the fender liner introduces a lot of drag.

I've always thought about an opening that goes through a cooler, and then the post-cooler air going to a brake duct.... but it hasn't been done on this car, yet.

There are no oil-water coolers that have met our satisfaction, but we haven't used any of the REALLY large laminovas. The issue is placement; there's not a lot of room to mount one.

The OEM or OEM style sandwich plate ones are great for light duty and street driving (perfect actually), but are completely inadequate for any tracking or spirited canyon driving.

This may be a stretch, but what about the other side of the tire? Why not make brake ducting through the fender on the door side, freeing up the space for the oil cooler in the front of the fender.

AVO oil cooler

Bolt on with no cutting involved. The duct protects and directs air to the oil cooler. I was not able to go beyond 200 °F (oil) on a spirited run. Compared to around 230 °F without an oil cooler when I ran the same route earlier this year.

This question goes mostly for track participants. What would be an adequate setup for NA car with enough overhead to run a turbo at the track. I was considering running a setup like the one carolina dyno makes, shroud with spal fans along with koyo rad, this paired with a front mounted oil cooler such as seatrab core with a sandwhich type adaptor. Any suggestions, althought nothing seems to be good enough for turbo's at the track due mostly to placement of the kitss.
@CSG Mike

What about these guys from setrab, i think its a 20 row.

Didn't know that FB used a Koyo rad. The only thing that is similar is that there are fans and a shroud involved, so no, not the same thing Carolina's fans are wire to be plug and play. I'm not sure of what the specs or details are on the FB because there isn't much info given on their site about it. The fans on the first picture below are 12" spal slim line also different from the ones FB uses(based on the picture). Again the concept is similar, thats about it. FB's is priced lower so thats more appealing.

On a side note, would the seatrab cooler with fans make any difference or the heat still needs to be removed from the engine bay via venting methods?

Very interested to find out who makes that shroud and fans for the oil cooler.

I looked and couldn't find the AVO oil cooler or shroud in the pic posted earlier. The pic was for an FRS, will it work on the BRZ?

Its a seatrab product sold just like that. They call it fanpacks

FP920M22I

The FP920M22I is the most popular Setrab fanpack, due to its compact size, high performance, and universal nature.
Featuring a Setrab ProLine 9-series 20-row cooler (p/n 50-920-7612) and two low-profile 342cfm sealed-motor Spal fans, this unit performs sitting still as if mounted in the direct airflow at 50mph.

Typical applications:
  • Medium-HP engine oil cooler (EOC)
  • High-HP auxiliary EOC
  • Tow-vehicle automatic transmission cooler
  • Liquid heat-exchanger chiller unit for closed-loop intercooler systems
I guess this would be ideal for sitting in traffic and what not.. not sure if it would benefit track days any more than a regular fanless cooler.
