It still broke the grille, but a bit of super glue and it went back together.

I don't know for sure what would happen but if you're worried about this, I would definitely get the race upgrade as it adds significant strength to the splitter and ties it directly into the chassis.
My favorite part was the hay we were pulling out of the rear diffuser...

I've had my car apart since (full race install, brake kit, rear diffuser swap, etc) and I am finding hay in places that amaze me. On top of the engine. In the rear bumper. In the front fender liners. Top of trans. Amazing where it all goes.

Has anyone ever installed this on a car with a Drift Armor crash bar? Not utilizing the stock crash beam mounting for the top end of the support rods would be much different.

Yes, I have. It requires a bit of ingenuity and fabrication but with the supplied parts you can make the splitter supports look quite nice.

Below are installed photos on a drift armor crash bar. I drilled and tapped directly into the round bar and bolted the top supports on that way. Slight modification to the grill was necessary but overall I think it came out quite nice.

Below are installed photos of my car with the Full-Race crash bar. Again, drilled and tapped directly into the bar itself. I had to shave a bit on the upper supports and then spray painted them black but it wasn't bad at all.

Thanks,
Eric

@VeloxEric! I'm installing my splitter but ran out of time tonight to finish. Where/how do I use the aluminum spacers? Instructions say to use them on the rear most holes... do they go between the bumper and the splitter? I don't seem to have any longer screws for them either. What's the thread/pitch so I can grab some at the hardware store?

There are two rear holes that have a large slot in them, somewhat centrally located. The spacers go through these holes, it should be pretty self-explanatory when you see the size holes. They just go in the slots.

We updated hardware to a single size but haven't updated the instructions, bolts should be plenty long for the install. Thread pitch is M6x1.0.

If I had the wrong hole that could explain the screws not being long enough. Are these spacers or bushings? I think I found the holes you mean but im still unclear on application

Without the bushing/spacer there, the plastic piece underneath with become distorted when tightening the bolt over time.

Works for me. Thanks Eric. Take note of these time stamps everyone... this is one of the reasons I chose Velox and will continue to throw money at them

Eric- I was installing the splitter endplates and wheel deflectors yesterday and noticed the splitter was drooping from the passenger side rear section where the splitter is attached with the long bolt and spacer. It looks like the plastic mount where you slide the metal fastener on snapped. I fixed it by fabricating a little metal plate to sit above the plastic, but just wanted to point it out as a potential spot of weakness. Not sure when or how it happened.

Small plate I made and set above the original mounting location. Seems to hold it well but track time will tell if it vibrates off:
