Playing at Red Star Raceway 22 Jan 2016
Pics by Gerrit Erasmus

Looking at these pics, my tyres look a fraction too soft.
I was running them at 1.6 bar cold which is slightly softer than my usual 1.7 bar.

Eish, is that one of Chris' cars?

EDIT:
Ah I see now - Kotters, it was indeed Chris' car. Glad it wasn't the yellow one.

When he gets hit the second time I cringed a bit . Guess it's still a lot safer in the car than out.......

Open track day at Red Star Raceway, Friday 25th March.
Some of us will be there - me, @JouMaSeHoes (with Lotus 7) and his brother (S2000) and a few more from Nelspruit area.

Come have some anti-clockwise fun

Which means - let's see how big your goolies are for T1 (the kink at the end of the pit straight)
You've got it right when you can turn in (at 160'ish), then only start braking in the turn.

Knowing it can be done, I tried it - once.
I didn't die, but I did scare myself nearly to death.
It's challenges like this that keep me coming back...

Here's how to do that.
Easy when you know how...

I see 25th is a public holiday, is it definitely on? If it is I will be there. Never gone anticlockwise so it'll be a whole new experience.

That rally car sounds

What time does the racing kick off?

If all things go to plan for me, I should be there as well,

(But like Zwartkops which says reg opens at 7:30am, first class usually goes out at around 9:30ish?)

Would arriving there at 8:30 be good ? or are they strict on registration times etc... (Haven't been to an open day at Redstar before)

Yup, 8:30 is good.

Not strict. Arriving there about 9'ish is also fine.
They say they get going at 9am, but call that 9.30am or so.

Don't be in a big hurry, just get yer ass there, and have fun.

But that doesn't mean we're all chilled out.
We gonna nail yer ass to the wall - LOL!! )

Bring it on China!!

Oh yeah, it's gonna be a very good Friday. For sure!!

Edit: Decided to remove the rest of this post...

Which I've now put back after getting @JouMaSeHoes nod of approval. This was us playing in January.
The video starts with his footage from his Porsche, then it rewinds back to the start for my (raw) video of the same session.
And a twin turbo BMW wanted to play too

For those using Harrys laptimer
Counter clockwise:

Hi,
the CCW configuration of Redstar is now available for download.
Please check them out via 'add-ons', update the list via the button at the top right corner and search e.g. for ‚Red‘.

One can only have one configuration at a time on your phone,
so you need to download the configuration before driving the other one and accept that the old POIs are replaced.

Just downloaded Friday's data logs, and I see that despite being disappointed with my lap times, I achieved a new anti-clockwise personal best of 2m21.7 vs clockwise at 2m19.1 in November last year.

Guess I must just try harder, but I'm finding anti-clockwise quite tough.

If you haven't already seen them on Facebook, here's some pics off my dashcam videos...
