![]() Alright, as I've promised, here's my new wheels for daily. I've chosen Enkei Tuning Raijin. Big thanks to @OAKOS Automotive for quick replies, great deals and fast shipment! I highly recommend them, if you're looking for wheels. Here's the specs of Raijin. ![]() Why I went with Raijin? Several reasons, but 2 major ones. ![]() 1. BRZ STI Concept. I have seen Raijin before and tbh I didn't really care for them... until I saw BRZ STI Concept with this kind of design. I'm pretty sure BRZ STI Concept have BBS RE-V or some other high performance wheels... but close enough right? lol 2. Price & specs I was looking into Enkei GTC01RR or SSR GTX01. Something different and new... but it was a bit out of my price range and current model didn't have the spec I was looking for. While Raijin had the specs I was looking for... BUT it's not easy to find it. ![]() I was a bit concern with +35 offset, but as you can see from the photo, it doesn't poke out. Of course I do have -1~-1.7 camber. Front top view ![]() Rear top view ![]() Closer view ![]() Now, all the stuff is said and done. Let's get going with more photos. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Side note: Tires are GT Radial Champiro UHP1 225/40-18 |

Thanks! Yeah, front is nice fit... rear might need extra 5~7mm spacer, but other than that, it's good fit for sure.

I thought, I've posted this, but I didn't so I'm posting it now.
![]() Some of you like dual exit exhaust, but for me, I like single exit exhaust... but single exit exhaust isn't popular compare to dual. Specially I was looking for several qualification... which I couldn't find one with it, so I've decided to go with custom exhaust system. Things I was looking for from exhaust.
Plan A, I found a member here who's very good at fabricating exhaust. We were going back and forth discussing now I want my exhaust... but Plan B came along that gave me better deal, so I went with Plan B... BUT sadly, before Plan B started, Plan B failed. So I had to go with Plan C. Plan C is find cheap 2.5" pipe single exit catback and cutout cheap muffler and install different muffler and tip. Catback, after looking through several places, I found Depo Racing had decently good quality catback for cheap, so to test em out, bought their exhaust. Overall I was surprised with their quality. Is it the best quality? No, but good for their price? Yes. Muffler, I was debating on 2 different mufflers: Vibrant Performance StreetPower Performance Universal Mufflers 1102 ![]() Borla XR-1 Racing Mufflers 40941 ![]() in the end, I went with Borla. Vibrant was cheaper, but Borla was 2" shorter. I wanted to make sure it fits. Borla also had several review about how quiet they were. I didn't want any loud exhaust, so that was deal maker. ![]() I also had Nameless single exit muffler track pipe, so I used that for exhaust tip. Went to local exhaust shop and got it all welded. Here's rough total price for the custom exhaust system. Depo Racing catback: $150 Borla XR-1 muffler: $142 Nameless exhaust tip: Free Welding: $190 ----------------------------------- Total: $482 Now for some ppl, with that price, I could of got different exhaust with extra $100~$300. Oh, I totally agree with you... but I couldn't find the catback that matched my needs. Now, all said and done, let's get going with photos. ![]() Tip comes out a bit, but nothing too crazy. I actually like how much it comes out. ![]() ![]() You can hear the exhaust sound here: https://www.facebook.com/ichitaka05/?ref=bookmarks |

After local FRS/BRZ meet, had some time to waste, so went to my usual photo spot and took few shots.

Some of you guys wondering and PM'ed me which lug nuts I'm using with ARP extended studs. I'm using Project Kics R40 chrome black
![]() Was there a specific reason I'm using that lug nuts? No, someone local was selling them for a really good price for barely used, so I bought them. I have heard both good and bad things about Project Kics' lug nuts, but mostly good, so thought to give them a try. ![]() I've received hubcentric rings for my Raijin. Man, they're pretty unique bore (OD: 72.6), so I had to look around for a bit. I'll be installing them later. I'll be out of town for a bit, so hopefully I can update after when I come home. |
