Thanks.
Ill take a picture tonight and post it up of my trunk setup.

I did an install already. Use the rcas in the back of the deck if possible if not do a line out. Tap the brown wire with a white line for the remote wire, and i used the ground already in the trunk and ran the power through the grommet(sp?) on the drivers side with the wire pack going through it. Very easy install doable easily in an hour.

i think it adds just enough boom to round out the stock system. I dont want to wake the neighbors stuff. i want something that has good sound with clarity and this delivered that.

speaker level or line level?

Are the wires going into the amplifier in the back, speaker level or line level? I was thinking about getting a 3-way crossover, splitting off the subwoofer level and putting it on it's own amp, while routing the left and right channels back into the factory amp.

Thoughts?

no clue, probably line level tho. Why would you go through all of that trouble tho? It has RCA's, why not just leave the fronts as is and add a sub?

The FR-S has RCA outs, but I don't think the BRZ NAV unit does.

So if i understand the diagram correctly and as verified by Spacewilly, the amp in the back powers the 6" door speakers, presumably with a built in low pass filter on them. This would mean the HU powers the rear 3" and in dash 3" and 1" components, which have high pass filter on them. This setup means the front stage is bi-amped, which also means 6 pairs of wires to tap if i wanted to use the stock speaker wires. Is this correct?

I just picked up a JL XD700/5 and was hoping to steal the speaker leads which i should be able to do by tapping the leads from the trunk mounted amp.

The Pioneer HU has 6 channel pre-outs (F/R/SW) that i will be running into the trunk.

Does anyone know if this wiring diagram is the same for the upgraded Pioneer unit for Canadian FR-S owners? I'm assuming it is.

here's my setup:

installed a universal bass remote in the cubby next to the usb port:

here's a liste of all the stuff i bought:
Pioneer-TS-SWX310
JVC-KS-AX3101D
Raptor-C1.0FM
Belva-BAK42
EFX-RLC-by-Scosche
Xscorpion-BS8R
Kicker-09PWG8-20FT
e2-ERTC4-4-by-Scosche
Xscorpion-RT8R
and some velcro from Lowes.

if you don't care about having room in your trunk and want a really nice sub for a good price, i recommend this pioneer one. has great range and really sounds perfect.
