Of the cars I've owned, my favorite two were my 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo and my beloved Alpine White 1991 BMW 318iS (favorite). The 318iS was slow as hell, but I loved it more than anything because it handled great and was loads of fun (also, it made a great noise). The fact it was so much fun despite being very low on power was a revelation to me. One day I'll get one again and restore it to 1991 condition. I have a Golf now, which is definitely a decent commuter.

The next car hopefully will be a SWP BRZ this week.

In no particular order after #1:

1. 1997 Dodge Viper
2. 2009 BMW 335i, sport pkg., 6MT
3. 2002 BMW 330i, sport pkg., 5MT
4. 2011 Mustang GT, 6MT
5. Scion FR-S
6. 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero, 6MT
7. 1991 Mazda Miata
8. 2008 and 2010 Mazdaspeed 3's.

Best as a car overall was, without question, the 2009 335i.

My last two daily drivers have been a 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero and 2010 Acura TSX. They're excellent daily drivers, but not as fun as those above.

Note: I took a long test drive in a 2012 BMW 328i Sport Line with 6MT, and it's not on the list, even though it's probably a better daily driver than all the others.

I haven't had the privilege to drive many cars (much less "fun" cars), so by default, the most fun car I've ever driven was a Talon TSI AWD.

Of course, I was 16 and stole the keys from my brother to take it on a quick spin around the block, so adrenaline may have had something to do with it.

First Gen NA Miata. Great handling and feels like magic on corners and turns. Lacking in power, but compensates with it's maneuverability. Also, i get a kick driving at night seeing my pop-up lights in the front!

I'm a lot like @Dadhawk. though I've had some interesting cars over the years I've enjoyed driving all of them. I just like to drive cars. I had a few VW Bugs I enjoyed. I enjoyed a Corvair and even had fun with a Renault Dauphine.

Here the cars I've owned that would be considered fun cars.

'67 Ford Mustang GT fast back
'72 Corvette convertible (bought from Roger Penske)
'87 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet
'99 Mazda Miata
'02 Mazda Miata
'13 FR-S

and I almost forgot the Suzuki Samurai that I had and towed behind another fun vehicle we had, a 36' Southwind motorhome.

I won't try to remember all the motorcycles I owned over the years. Again it was a case of never having a bad one, just some were better than others.
