I test drove an Automatic and loved it. A month later, I put down a deposit on a Halo M/T. Took delivery 2 months later and I've loved every second of it. It's affordable, it handles beautifully, and it looks gorgeous.

I went to my dealership to buy an oil filter for another Toyota and noticed the FR-S A/T demo out front. I had an hour to kill and had read most reviews out there but had to see for myself.
Impressed in every way already described, even more than expected, I walked out with a 10 Series on order. |

She's dead sexy
I love small cars Engine at the front, drive wheels in back I've never experienced a better driving position During the test drive, it just felt... right (I was total crap at driving manual when I bought the car, but it just didn't matter.) Long time MX-5 driver. Finally wanted a little more trunk space and pseudo rear seats.
RWD all the way . . . nuff said about that. The driving position is amazing. My wife loves it. |

In no particular order:
- New Car - $25,000 - $30,000 - RWD/AWD - How enjoyable the car is to drive - Aesthetics I was dead set on a 2013 Impreza WRX Wagon when I was in search of a new car in Spring of 2014. A lot of my friends who currently own Evos and STis suggested that I test drive BRZ/FR-S. Despite the specs and everything I read about the car, nothing prepared me for the test drive. I had so much fun it was unreal. The sales associate kept telling me to step on it and take the turns hard because the car "can handle it". Upon doing further research (more like window shopping), I was blown away by the aftermarket support the car already had. Shortly afterwards, I went to test drive the FR-S and the aesthetics won me over compared to the BRZ. Regardless, I already knew I was going to end up with one or the other after I left the Subaru dealership. |

Driving dynamics (handling, steering, light weight)
RWD Affordable Semi-practical Everything else like the driving position, aesthetics, factory warranty was just an icing on the cake. Wanted one since they came out but couldn't afford to make monthly payments at the time so I bought an MR2 instead. I knew I wasn't gonna keep the MR2 for a long time and FRS was #1 on my list to replace it with. |

This might sound silly but when I sat in it and saw the raised front fender bump, I felt like it was 1994, and I was sitting in a RX-7.
I missed that feeling. I was sold before I turned the car on.

I got mine to have a light weight turbo charged toy. The fact that it had terrible prius tire that let it slide all over the road made me want it even more. I bought my avo turbo kit before I even bought the car.

I went to test drive a 86 and I was told that I can drive it without a salesman. This test drive made me fall in love with the car immediately as I took it out for a long ass time and I drove it like I stole it..lol

I was just over the ridiculous cost of gas in my truck. I had read up on the car for a while, went to test drive one, and left with it a few hours later. Pretty impulsive.

I love the styling, but find the engine boring, but was willing to overlook that if the handling claims lived up to the hype. I rented one and beat it like a stepchild and it lived up to the hype. Getting a quick, shall we say, "contest of speed" with an RX8 which he did not win was the money shot. I was in Subaru a few days later placing my order.
A couple of months with my BRZ and it's just getting better. The more I get over the newness and start to toss it a bit, the better it feels. |
