^Granted, depends on how you define "tons" of people though.

What do you consider a fair price for such a car? Granted we don't know if it would have made it to production with a CF body, but lets just say for kicks, 500+hp, V10, CF chassis sports car?

A lot of ppl want LF-A, but due to limit of 500, ppl can't buy.

Just say instead of cf chassis they changed it to 75% aluminum 25% cf chassis w v10 +500hp for around $250k~$300k. Freak, if I had that kind of money, I'll be totally over that. iirc LF-A starting price is $375k. $100k~$75k less than LF-A and is good almost good as LF-A, I'm pretty sure good amount of rich car fans will buy it.

Well I'd say like itchi, 75% aluminum and 25% CF, at around 500HP, 85-110,000$ like the GT-R, given it'd be much faster then the GT-R, it would have less hp then the ZR-1 and about the same CF as the ZR-1, but I think it would still weigh less then it. I think that would be a fair price range, granted I'd love to have it I'n the 50-75,000$ cause Id probably find a way for that price

Totally agree, However the Gallardo sells about 2000 cars per year. The R8 sells in similar, if not slightly less numbers. I don't think that at any price over $150k you will find "a lot" of people buying any car. It would be an interesting proposition to a lot of people, but while there are way too many people with stupid amounts of money, not that many of them care about these kinds of cars. I say this because to me, a lot is more than 5000. the Murcielago sold 4099 in it's whole lifetime. While Lamborghini has insane profit margin, that is the type of car they specialize in. I'm not sure the same would apply to Honda.

You see this is just it. Me and you and iichi and all car fans would love to think that this is the price of what a car like this should cost. In reality, speed = $$ (Notable exceptions, Z06/ZR1, GT-R, ACR Viper) and you get what you pay for. Honda already stopped producing real sports cars, I don't think management would suck it up and take a loss to be able to see it at a reasonable price.

I agree, but if they could just think of the reputation it would give them and the new Honda guys+ the old Honda guys, I think it would promote Honda and help them more then they would realize, but again what sain business man is gonna take a loss for the possibility for rep, but you know what, screw it I'm gonna build one....

Really? To me, a lot is over selling +-1,000 car a yr. Murcie only sold 4099 in 9 yrs (2001~2010), so it's fair amount, but if you say Galla is sold 2,000 cars per yr and I think that's a ton.

and sadly, prob won't get much profit margin was Lambo or Ferrari, if Honda actually do it.

For a company that makes a huge profit margin on each car, 1000 cars a year might be a lot, but to a company like honda, 1000 cars is chicken feed.

Toyota takes a loss on every LFA @ $375k.... I don't think Honda's current CEO is that ballsy.

Every LFA leased (how do they lose money if they still own the car? heh...) is money coming back to the wasted investment of F1. Honda, too, has left-over F1 resources...

i dont consider the money wasted if it helped spawn the LF-A.

F1 is never a waste of money
