bumping this thread to the top. I have similar set up but haven't test fitted (due to Chicago winter). I am contemplating to get a 3mm spacer just to bring down the offset a little bit.

Will this wheel/tire (from the WRX 235 width) rub the front struts?

Anyone know if the centercaps from the stock BRZ/FRS wheels will fit these?

Sorry for bringing up an old thread

Just wondering if anyone has anymore to report in regards to rubbing on the front strut? Does this only happen at full lock?

It happens if you have any camber. You need coilovers to gain camber. Lowering springs or crash bolts will add too much camber to let these fit. Unless you use springs then REDUCE camber with the bolts.

So does that mean stock suspension will be ok?
I am looking to pull the trigger in the weekend to get a set.

Completely stock, yes. Coilovers, yes (depending on alignment). Lowering springs or crash bolts to gain camber, no.

When you lower the car you will gain camber. You'd have to use bolts to dial the camber back out.

I sold my WRX wheels to a local with springs. He had to dial the camber back with bolts to almost 0 to fit them.

I'm the one with them now and the most camber I can run is about -1.2 before rubbing on the lower spring seat and spring with camber bolts.

Ah, I thought you told me you had to dial almost all of the camber out to fit them.

Let me know if you or anyone does this. I'm considering the same set up.

Sorry just saw the bump to this thread.

I have been running the MY2011 WRX wheels and tires (235/45/17) this summer. It rubs at full lock (stock alignment).

In the past week, I added 5 mm KIC spacers to all four corners which helped with the rubbing issue (now GONE). HOWEVER, due to the spacers not being hub centric, I got a little vibration at high speed (85+ MPH).

EDIT:
I also want to point out that the WRX stocker MY2011 wheel/tire combo is way grippier than the stocker Michelin. Imagine how good this car can handle if you put some serious rubber (not the Dunlop Sport Maxx from the WRX)... Also, from all the threads I have read so far, by the time the tires are worn, I am getting 225 series tires. 235 weighs too much.

i know you guys are going to hate me for bumping an old thread but my question never really got answered. With 235's they rub at full lock, but what about with 225's? Will 225's make a difference?
