It is literally as simple as taking the output of the needed sensors and injecting them to both the doner ECU and the Subaru ECU. More or less a harness that has two signal inputs per needed sensor signal.

The only system that is inop with the dual ECU setup is the traction control and that is really only due to all the variables needed to operate such a system that the doner engine may or may not have AND other variances such as TB size and etc. Personally I joke about not having traction control as "no big deal" but really I feel it is very useful. Especially, with all the neat things you can do with traction control and custom mapping in EcuTek. It is however, something I am willing to "forego" at least for the time being until perhaps I can figure out a solution without going to a complete standalone system. All diagnostics remain in tact for both ECUs as well just for a side note.

"Hack job" is the definition of engine swapping by the way haha. All joking aside though I understand what your point of view is and I agree but in the end either way of doing it is fine. It's like I said before, its about what you want to be able to do and how deep your pockets are.

A lot of good information for people want to do an engine swap. Thank you all.

I found an M1 PNP for the 2JZ for $4,500.00
Don't know how much more you'll need to add to this price (wiring and sensors) to make the stock FRS gauges to work (Maybe none).

The Hydra EMS will be a cheaper option. Don't know any other cheaper options. But I'm sure there are a couple of other stand alone that has CAN Bus capability's.

This is for the people who want to go single instead of the twin option.

too bad BRZ parts in the states are suddenly worth nothing, I'm probably going to wind up having to scrap my stuff.

I've been trying to sell my trans for $700 for months. No bites. Buddy of mine might take it off my hands locally for $500 since his new built motor should grenade his at the power levels he's at. Mostly a backup trans, but we'll see.

I think the low prices are sad, I only got $2100 for my stock engine but the guy came and picked it up so it was easy.
