I think what you meant to say was face plated.

Its not the same thing as a dog box.

Magnum will fit, but with a lot of mods.

TKO was designed to shift below 6500 and no matter what people tell you, they will have a hard time shifting at 7500. At 9000.....forget it.

Also, thats a 5 speed, so you are giving up a LOT of performance.

The Hollinger box was used in the GT86 rally america car Nameless was a part of. Not the same exact box since it was a custom job to fit it, but same basic gearbox/gearset. That car was turbo using a EFR of some sort, but wasn't pushing a ton of horsepower.

Does anyone know of anyone making a replacement dog/straight cut gearset for the stock transmission case?
Yes. I was working with a shop to do this. The end result was not to my liking.

YOU MUST CUT THE TUNNEL

I UNDER STAND, I JUST SAID LIBERTY GEAR SAYS OTHERWISE AND THEY ARE PRETTY REPUTABLE. I HAVE NO FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE THOUGH.

IT GIVE UP A GEAR TO STOP BREAKING OEM TRANSMISSIONS AND NOT HAVE TO PAY 20K FOR A SEQUENTIAL. WITH 400WTQ I'M NOT TOO WORRIED BUT THAT COMBINED WITH THE PRICE AND HIGH RPM SHIFTING PROBLEMS HAS STOPPED ME FROM DOING IT AS OF NOW.
.
Not yelling just didn't know how to change font/color on tapatalk mobile.

Thats not that hard to do.

You just need the clutch disc that fits the spline of the input shaft.

What would be hard is to find th correct length input shaft and/or making a bellhousing to fit the existing one.

Sorry for reviving this very old thread, but has anyone installed Drenth gearbox in one of these cars? The Drenth rep stopped by our paddock at Sebring this past weekend. Following my discussion with him, I spoke with a very large race team that has run all types of sequential gearboxes. They run the Drenth in 11 of their cars and gave me some good feedback. Curious if anyone has installed one in an FR-S/BRZ.
