What software did you use?

On the FAT32 discussion, seems like a lot of trouble when you can just use an iPod Classic and have better control over it. You can pick them up pretty cheap on the used market (eBay, GameStop) for about the same price as a drive.

I have an 80G that I use with MP3 files and it works great except that the 2014 Pioneer AHA unit I retrofitted in my car doesn't like to play "All Songs" in alphabetical order. It insists on listing/playing them in Artist/Song order if I select "Songs". That's a pain because my preference is to listen to my catalog in alphabetical order by song title. Gives me a good mix (better than shuffle) and I know when I've listened to the entire collection (typically takes me about 18 months to go through the over 10,000 tracks in my family's collection excluding Holiday and Kid Bop stuff we have).

ipod touch or iphone helps droves here.. it's so handy to operate via touch.. 100gb collection of 320s or lossless that gets cycled through 20-30gb chunks at a time.. have lots to sift through!
