I'm going to take it in steps as follows:
Step 1: Spring, sway bars, wheels, tires, brake pads, high temp brake fluid. Step 2: I/H/E Step 3 (after the warranty's over): Coil overs, top hats, poly bushings, carbon buckets + harnesses, more aggressive wheel + tire setup, big brake kit, mechanical LSD. Step 4: Forced induction setup, stand alone, engine build, hopefully shooting for around 350-400 awhp.

If weight reduction is a priority apart from CF hood, some of the big ones could be:
1. Lighter Exhaust ( i saved 25lbs on one of my "already light" cars) 2. Light weight lion battery. 3. Lighter sport-bucket seats. 4. Carbon ceramic rotors. 5. Wheel tire combos help. Especially compared to OEM. 18""Low profile tires can weigh less than OEM 17". LIght weight 18's might weight less than OEM 17"s. |

I am tossing around the idea of keeping mine stock. Just the thought of how much a clean, stock AE86 is coveted, makes me wanna do it. I also see a MINT Supra Turbo occasionally on nice days driving home from work, I love seeing cars with 10+ years on them and still look like they were purchased yesterday.

Next month:
5-axis rear spoiler oem foglights. Nokya H11 7000k headlight bulbs Clear bra Next Year: Maybe some new rims That is all. I don't think I'll be messing with making the exhaust any louder than it is. Stock is fine. Perhaps I'll add an aftermarket air filter if there's any proof of performance increase through thorough testing. |

Mine's a lease, so it gets to stay stock for 4 years
but the lease was cheaper for what I wanted. If I don't trade up at the end of the lease for something different, or a newer FR-S, I may try to do something like this,![]() I don't need to do a full conversion. I want those stripes, the fog lights, and the spoiler. I've never customized a car before, but the FR-S makes me curious. If I've got the money for everything I want I'd like the stuff I just mentioned, plus; Body kit Wheels In-take exhaust Haven't looked into any of this stuff yet though, I figured I'd have more to choose from in 4 years.

Yea, I want those stripes in a bad way, and I don't even really know why. Must be the '69 Camaro lover in me. I've about decided that none of the body kits work for me, so it may eventually be these stripes if they ever become available in the US.

My wish list:
1st - Opti-Coat paint protection applied professionally this Friday 2nd - $1500 or less 4x4 pickup for snow and hauling 3rd - winter tires so i don't have to drive the new beater when the ground isn't a mess That's it for the immediate future. The following is my current wish list. I'll squeeze these in as I can over time. Not in a massive rush though I'd love to be able to do it all tomorrow. Exterior: -Grazio black crystal turn signals -Grazio black crystal side markers -Grazio red tails w/ black crystal turn signals -HID projector retrofit kit and blacked out headlight housing simultaneously -TSW Nurburgring in matte gunmetal or TSW Trackstar 5 either in 18x8 +35 -Unknown high perf tire -Window tint 20% maybe? More likely 35%. Don't want to give the police any further reason to harass a red sports car -Grazio black chrome Toyota T badges and remove all other badges Interior: -hardwired radar detector -Pioneer nav head unit -replace factory speakers with unknown high end product -JL bass wedge with single 10" W6 -already own JL 500/1 and 350/4 amps -remove spare in attempt to compensate for added weight -perhaps LED interior lighting Engine: -SRT header back exhaust -unknown headers most likely SRT if of the same quality as the exhaust -unknown intake most likely SRT if of the same quality as the exhaust -Perrin crank pulley -lightweight flywheel? Need to research -ECU tune for the above Suspension and brakes: -high perf rotors and pads -SS brake lines All of this is subject to change given future products, reviews, results, innovations, and available funds. If I ever go FI it will likely be a supercharger in an effort to preserve throttle response as best as can be done. Stock suspension satisfies me. I know a lot of folks complain that the car is very high and needs to be lowered. I don't know what they are smoking. I saw a comment that it looks like a 4x4. Coming from, most recently, a jeep I find this funny. I believe these folks are actually focusing on wheel gap which is high. I feel that this car sits extremely low for a production car and folks tell me that all the time as I introduce them to it. I want to preserve my ability to make it in and out of driveways/parking lots with any sort of slope, clear dead animals and other debris, and go over speed bumps all without damage. If they don't become available, could a custom shop make them? Or would it be a risk trying to have someone recreate them instead of getting the ones made for it?
