Those wheels appear to be the same wheels that came on the 2008 Forester XT Sports, which are made by Enkei and are 17x7, +48, 5x100. The 18" versions of those wheels exist but are $$$$ and have to be imported.

All current Subaru models are 5x100, except for the STi and Tribeca, which are 5x114. It'd be nice if the FT-86 came with 5x114 hubs, but my guess is that they'll be 5x100, unless there's an STi version.

I'm also guessing that the test mule is non-turbo. That's definitely not a front mount intercooler, and the scoop is blocked off.

You're absolutely correct - they come in the following sizes:

17x7, +48, 5x100
18x8, +48, 5x100
18x8, +55, 5x114 (STi Spec C Type RA-R)
17x8, +50, 5x114 (STi Spec C Typa RA2005)
18x8, +50, 5x114
17x7.5, +55, 5X100
18x7.5, +55, 5x100

I'm just speculating that they're the 17x7, +48, 5x100 version due to they're availability in the States. I hope they come out with an STi version with 5x114 hubs, UEL exhaust, and maybe AWD if they utilize the current drivetrain.

You forgot one more size 18x8.5 +53 5x114.3 '06 JDM Limited spec-C Type RA-R (300)... but that wheels were white.

Also, you're forgetting that, that welded together Subie was first found in Germany, so there's a chance of having different wheel sizes too... but 17x7 was my first guess & 17x7.5 or 18x7.5 were my second guess.

I will warn that this calculation could be wrong, so it can only be taken so seriously
This was a calculation made earlier in the year by someone on a different FT86 forum. Their conclusion that it was both the FT86 concept, the mule in nurburgring was 5x100.

http://www.tune86.com/ft-86-forum/29...-pattern-5x100

Quote:
The wheels on FT-86 images are R19
19in = 482.6 mm (according to Google :P)
According to Wikipedia: The wheel size is the diameter of the wheel in inches where the beads of the tire seat on the wheel.
Using the full size Toyota provided image of FT-86 concept, I tried to calculate pixels vs mm. So all calculations are related to this very image.
The bolt-pattern in pixels of the image is about 332px (measuring between bolt #1 and #3 in whatever order).
I tried to find the place where the beads of the tire seat on the wheel just by looking at the picture, so the calculations might be way off. So I measured approximate minimum and maximum diameter of the possible wheel inner side in pixels. About 1544px minimum and 1701 maximum
482.6 (mm) / 1544 (px) * 332 (px) = 103.7 (mm)
482.6 (mm) / 1701 (px) * 332 (px) = 103.7 (mm) = 94.2 (mm)

I took very extreme minimum and maximum possible measurements on the image, so the extreme bolt pattern range is 94.2 and 103.7
As Subaru and Toyota uses 5x100 mm in most cases and sometimes 5x114.3, we can guess that the bolt pattern should be 5x100!
I`d be happier for 5x114,3 (much more JDM forged wheel options)
Any comments? Did I do something wrong?

So it was suggested to do the rumored Subaru 216a test mule @ Nurburgring measurements as well.

Here are the wheel bolt pattern calculations. I have no idea what size this wheel is, but it looks more like R18 to me, or even R17? I did calculatiosn for all trhee. bolt measurements (px) 42.4-44.5
wheel measurements: 185-202
R19 wheel (482.6 mm)

115.3
116.0
105.6
106.3
MIN: 105.6, MAX: 115.3
AVG: 110.45
R18 wheel (18 in = 457.2 millimeters)

457.2/185*42.4 = 104.78
457.2/185*44.5 = 109.9
457.2/202*42.4 = 96
457.2/202*44.5 = 100.7
MIN: 96, MAX 109.9
AVG: 102.95 (mm) R17 wheel (17. in = 431.8 millimeters)

431.8/185*42.4 = 99
431.8/185*44.5 = 103.9
431.8/202*42.4 = 90.6
431.8/202*44.5 = 95.1
MIN: 90.6, MAX: 103.9
AVG: 97.25 mm

Man I hope the FT makes an appearance at the LA auto show. I could almost see there being a little more info about it if it's there.

I was under the impression that the new Impreza was 5 x 114.3 so the 5 x 100 doesn't make sense. Or is it just the STI and WRX now?
