Jealous of all you with UEL. My wife thinks the Suby rumble is about the worst way a car could possibly sound. Guess a lifetime of oldschool tuned BMW's has her set on that smooth growl.

Just give up you cant argue with someone who insists on posting like a douche.
Someone can just as easily make their car sound "Ricer" with a header as without, its all subjective. But gotta love that internet attitude, right??

Here, I'll help you. License plate. Tail lights. Please tell me which of these two mods could be had to add performance? It still comes back to , why have sound only when you could have performance and sound at the same time. It may not be logical to you, but that ain't my problem.

Yeap, people have different preferences to sound. Grab an EL if you are so inclined.

Doesn't UEL help eliminate torque dip? And gains of EL vs UEL is negligible when NA, if that's going to be your argument. |

What is your point again? I really don't think we are talking about the same thing. Hence why I said you should probably go back and read from the start? Only CBE and NA is what I was referring to, and headers give you both sound and performance. What are you on about? EL vs UEL what? Pick whatever you like.

Nothing to do with people making it sound "Ricer", although it would be rather hard to make it sound like a fart can if the header is the only thing changed, nothing is leaking etc.

Still there are those who do not wish to tinker with replacing parts with catalytic converters hence the reason to change just the CBE. I replaced only my CBE and if you heard you may indeed think it sounds "rice". Personally I have received nothing but compliments on the way my car sounds from both those who are into modifying cars and those who could care less about modifying cars. I can take the $800-$1200 I would have spent on a header and put that money toward a supercharger system down the road. Different strokes for different folks. |

Yes, for FI. However, you'll find that there will be differences going with headers that incorporates larger pipes for runners.
