There seems to be a lot of interest from Ohio and the region, I'm sure we can set up a caravan to VA!

i say go for it

when i had a chevy colorado we had meets all up and down the east coast. we would have a super meet every year in PA or NJ. all the VA guys and MD guys could meet up outside of DC and then Baltimore and cruise together. Theres nothing more badass then 10-15 of the same vehicles in a caravan cruising down the highway.

if everyone gets 2-way hand held radios, it makes communitcating much easier

"check out the hottie in the green car on the right"

"someone merge left, slow down, and let all of us over so we can change lanes"

"where going getting off on the next exit to get gas"

"tid'obiggies red car passenger side back seat"

Half the fun of a big meet is the Caravan. Makes those 10 hour drives ALOT quicker.

hell yeah it does.

also if you have a good photographer, you can catch some amazing shots. some of my best rolling shots were done in caravans on 4 lane roads.

Thanks Ichi!!
I'm most likely in. When I come I plan to try to have a caravan of my own, at least 10-20(maybe more) deep rollin from S. Cen. PA to VA Beach. If I can arrange a 12-15 car meet here on 1 wks notice I think we can round up at least 10 or 20 for this on @ 2.5 mos. notice.

I wouldn't mind joining a caravan to VA but me and my friends brz might be heading to Philadelphia first, being i got family to visit and then drive to VA for the car show. Unless other plans change and we head to VA and then Philadelphia. Not sure yet.

The Meet on the 28th will be a good chance to get to know your car in a semi-controlled environment. To be honest, I would say do an auto-x before doing a driving meet if you want to get to know your car, but the reverse can work if you keep it conservative.

Depending on when the timing works out (let alone my personal schedule), the Ohio Caravan may be able to meet up with you guys. One route that google maps is showing me (from my home to VA Beach) has me going SE through Pittsburgh (booooo) on 76, then following 70 into Maryland and towards the coast from there. Its possible to meet up if the timing is correct. FYI, I plan on getting into VA beach Friday Night around 7 PM.

Then again, if we just go to Richmond and finish the trip the next day (as suggested by Ichitaka), that might change the timing up a bit. Stay tuned.
