Anyone know if the "black seats" are like the alcantara ones? I have seen only 1 picture which only shows the sides of the seats and it does look like some kind of suede material.

from what i've seen, the seats are fabric with the toyota "t" pattern instead of the red inserts.

I don't think a lot of people understand what "special editions" and all that BS is.
It's a way to clear out inventory on parts manufacturers are losing money on from over ordering from suppliers. They then market it as "special or limited" mark it up and people go nuts for it. I get that some of it is a bargain, but there is nothing special about it.

I does make sense. However looking at your diagrams both the TRD kit and the Griffon improve air flow, just the griffon does it better. Infact, let's compare some more. Here's the JDM TRD kit. ![]() And here's the USDM TRD kit. ![]() now, looking at the two. You're right about them being more or less the same. However, I think it could be argued that the USDM kit may be just a bit better based on a few factors. 1. No front license plate holder to block and/or disrupt airflow 2. A broader wing at the back that conforms to the natural shape of the rear. It's no doubt that the Griffon is the better car. But as we know the areo on that car is, 1. Still in development. 2. Going to be balls to the wall expensive when and if it is released to the public. 3. It's also a widebody kit. And I can't think of any car that was sold in the us with a widebody kit from the factory. So it would make sense for TRD to release a slightly improved version of the JDM kit rather than sky-jacking the price of the car by adding the Griffon's super-functional aero. I mean this isn't new for TRD Remember the hardcore MR2 and Supra? ![]() ![]() I'm sure the 86 will be no different. So to reiterate, the aero looks to be slightly more functional than the JDM kit. so i wouldn't write it off completely just yet. It still has to be tested. I mean would you rather have the Nur kit instead? ![]() it was tested, and it was used in the development of the standard car. so we know it works (even though that wing is still uglier than sin).
