So they reached out to me again this morning. I just told them I would reach out to them. Since we aren't getting as much interest I had hoped on this. I may say it's a lost cause.

If you are allowed to run open top cars with only factory rollover protection (S2k, Miata, etc), then I would definitely cast the net to those crowds because they're great cars to share a track day with and there's not a lot of places where they can run without installing a rollbar.

Hey guys I appreciate what your trying to do. ORP is a great track and tons of fun. But organizing an event is a lot of work and there are many things to consider other than track rental. My brother has been responsible for doing this for Team Continental foe the past 2 years. You've got to consider track insurance, ORP doesn't provide this, emergency services, track workers, etc. On the organization side, are you going to allow novices? If so then you need instructors. You may want instructors in any case as those with experience but have never driven ORP may want some coaching.

Not to be negative Nellie here, I do have a suggestion. Why not approach one of the clubs that already have an event scheduled with a group buy idea? We get 10 or more signed up and receive a $50 discount. TC has an event scheduled for July, the Audi Club has an event sometime this summer, and others as well. If arranged this would probably keep the cost under $200 per person, and spectators typically don't pay. Thoughts?

This.

Organizing a group day with a member club of ICSCC (like TC) is the way to go. they provide all the amenities and are by far the cheapest track time around. With enough entries it doesn't hurt to request your own run group. OP should contact TC.

Talked to my brother, he said their July event is a race weekend and they expect the HPDE to be booked with racer doing test and tune and track familiarization. That being said, it does not preclude booking another date. He has a another group that has expressed interest in doing something similar. To get a dedicated run group he would like to see 12 to 15 entries. If this were to take place on a weekday track rental rates are lower. Can those who have expressed interest already ring back about a Monday or Friday event? Would also love to hear from the folks in the Seattle/Tacoma area. P.s. dedicated paddock space is a possibility with enough entrants.

I've attended a couple track events this past weekend (ORP and RMP) to get some baseline.
It was a lot of fun see my signature for detailed info ( vids, pictures, logs and such)
