Techstream can adjust the sensitivity of the "auto" feature from what I've been told, but in this case, why not just cover the light sensor, so it thinks it's night all the time?

Where's that sensor again? Is it the one connected to rearview mirror?

I've seen a little dot on the dash, driver's side near the windshield defroster vents (similar to the light sensors on the front of smartphones). That might be it
