So, if I'm understanding the exhaust setup, there is the header, of course, a front pipe, mid pipe, and the axle back or end pipe. So all together 4 parts to the twins exhaust system?

I whimped out ...... I played a senior card and had the boys with a rack stick that sucker on. It only took them the time it took me to drink a half cup of coffee and smoke one cigarette. Yep, $30 ..... but I didn't get my knuckles all skinned up and I had time for a long nap ....

Headers, Overpipe, Front pipe, midpipe and axle back... catbacks replace the OEM midpipe.

With age comes wisdom... And apparently a knack for knowing how to get stuff done the easy way. Luckily I have access to a car rack and can get it in the air for free, so no laying down on the ground for me.

God bless. Next you're going to tell me is that there are 8 injectors and the spark plugs are accessed from the side. (Yes, I know there are in fact 8 injectors and its a boxer engine.). Can they make these engines any more complex? Sorry. Thank you for the information. I just rant occasionally. I'm used to Chevy v8s and carbs. Much simpler times.

Trust me. I've spent many a day trusting jack stands. I just prefer the easier methods.

I don't find it complex at all... hell, I rather like that the exhaust is composed of multiple pieces... much much easier to work on... unlike my bimmer, which is all 1 piece from the headers to the muffles, and weights a ton... fun times when I had to take it down... on jack stands... by myself...

...... it may just be you ...... or maybe not.

Every time I look at them ..... they look "uneven".

However, some days the right one looks longer or lower, other days the left one looks longer or lower. Some days, they look straight.

One can squirm the muffler around a bit on the rubber hangars, but then the other side will look uneven.

Really, I think it's just my eyes ..... I forget I have macular degeneration in my right eye real bad, not so bad in my left eye ..... so, nothing really looks "even" all the time.

That's why when I "hang" up pictures I use a bubble level AND a laser level and then put double sided tape on all 4 corners. This way, I know they're level ...... no matter what the stroke did to my eyes OR what anybody says!

So, I'm ah mess .....

Ahhh......yes, with age comes wisdom (or maybe just being lazy.....).

So, if you DIY, I suggest a bit of WD-40 on the two nuts. Work a bit of liquid slippery stuff (I prefer soapy water) around the rubber hangars on the muffler. After taking out the two bolts, the muffler will rock on the rubber bushings to loosen them up. Oh, yes be a bit careful with the gasket, they don't give you a new one.

Well, that was enough, I let the boys with a rack .... take er on in.....
