Rally clipboard and maps. Grab a friend and make a scenic loop through the countryside. Don't forget the pen and pad of note paper.

Bang for the buck? In my mind that's a pretty easy answer. Camber bolts, then tires.

I found that the topspeed over/ track pipe with a k/n filter gave my brz a nice shot in the arm for a little more than $200

Im going for protection first. Weathertechs, rally armor, frontend wrap, tinting.

Next will be function of driving, clutch pedal adjust, shift bushing upgrades. Then drop in filter.

After that I go do some autox and learn the rules before I go much further.

Then,

You're all wrong.

The best bang for your buck mod is made before you even buy the car..... manual tranny.

Only been driving stick since August and its completely changed my perception of how to drive and connect with a car. I'll never own an auto again.

Tatrix 2.0, the dealers lie about updating your ECU I caught mine. Those calib updates are important and doing the updates yourself is very mid settling. Plus there is the possibility one day it will be used for tuning/tuner shops. Mine was less than $200 and they have great resale.

Yeah the manual is faster, there is no argument there, (assuming a skilled driver) I would have preferred stick. I love manual transmissions. Especially since they are faster. The issue for me has been driving the manual trans hard, as it wears out the clutch and can brake other items if driven too hard too often (axels, trans, clutch etc.). I would have purchased one, however, after much use I wasn't sure how long it would be until I needed a new clutch etc. Don't even ask mention power shifting. Yeah the manual is faster but for Me longevity in the manual would cost Me more than the automatic, as I would probably wear out the clutch and have tor replace soon. I converted my previous car from auto to manual (5.0 mustang) it was way faster in the manual, almost a full second in the quarter, I just had to launch it on slicks. Best bang for Me would be a tune and reduce 25+lbs of unsprung rotational mass via rims and light weight grippy (max performance, not extreme, as this is a street car 205/50/16) tires. However, if I could find a really light weight battery that is reliable I could save an additional 20-25lbs, and then I would pursue to lose more weight via the exhaust. After this I am done, simply because this is expensive...My approach is reliability in making power and modest weight reduction. I think I would be able to save an estimated 65lbs. These mods would also improve the horsepower by an estimated 12-15rwhp. Also, the car may sound "better" or to more sporty after this.
