Maybe but dealerships take in 10-100 cars a day , they probably don't have the time to go through all that trouble , I can see them referring you to the "dealership" that did the install though

The car had been autox but they did not cite that as a reason for the denied warranty claim. I am not sure that they did the guy any kind of a favor by saying it was denied because it was lowered. There are going to be a lot more lowered FR-S/BRZ than there are going to be autoxed FR-S/BRZ.

Still, this is a good thing. I will be installing RCE Yellows on a FR-S this weekend. They are a 22mm drop on stock struts. The car will not be autox. If something happens to the axles then Scion is going to have a tough time denying a warranty claim if they are OKing the same or greater drop with their springs.

That was me... thread here.

I got tired of waiting for the revised springs and ordered KW V3s.

I think the TRD USA springs are still a few months away, last I heard.

If I remember correctly on racecomp's web page the springs list they are designed for the brz and if it only mentions the brz then they can use that as grounds to deny it. Not trying to be a negative Nancy but I've worked at a dealership and have friends that work there so I more or less have a feel for how it works

Too bad there is no listed rates etc,, then one could better know or make better assumption that they are indeed just rebranded Eibach pros...

We need Jackson here to confirm or deny lol....

Correct. It was a favor because being denied for being lowered makes suspension related stuff red flagged. Being cited for racing would get basically all future warranty issues denied.

I have Yellows myself. If I blow a strut I sure as hell am not gonna go in before swapping springs back to stock. No way I would expect that to be honored under warranty.

They list them as BRZ/FRS. Their "lite" kit only says BRZ though, but it is the same parts.

This sounds very promising, been thinking about the pro-lines anyways and if that's what these are (or even close) I'm definitely gonna go this way, like the warranty coverage aspect of this alot!

I thought the TRD springs were a 15mm drop or about .5 inches? At the FRS ride and drive they were running these springs and the cars were not dropped more than than 1'' from what I could tell.

I would be quite happy with a .8 to 1" drop really as long as there is some improvement. Can't go too low because the streets here suck ass.

If these offer a 0.5-0.8" drop and will retain the factory warranty on the struts, I am in.

Just called my local Toyota parts department (Freeman Toyota) and they confirmed that the part number is good but said it is not active yet so they cannot order me the part.

They did say that the part cost is $264.

Deal at Joe Myers (link on OP) is pretty good. $210 plus $27.44 shipping plus $19 tax for a total of $257.

After tax at my local dealer cost is $285.

Ok I could not resist and had to pull the trigger. I want to lower the car and dont want to spend the money on coil-overs. This seems like an affordable way to lower the car and possibly avoid warranty issues (if I have my local dealer install).

I payed $257 via paypal and everything seemed to go smoothly. Once you create an account you can log back in and view your order status and invoice. Mine currently says pending.

Will keep everyone posted.
