This weekend I've driven one, and now can't get it out of my head. Limited BRZ I pre-ordered starts to look less and less atractive. I know, I know... apples and oranges, but still it looks like you get so much more for your money with EVO. Simple math really, with BRZ - 50% of cars around you are more powerfull. and with EVO - you are pretty much more powerfull than 90% of whats out there.

Besides I am not sure I am psychologicaly ready to buy a brand new car just yet.
By 50% more powerful you must mean 50% of the cars have more HP, and not faster 0-60 times. I'd say BRZ's 0-60 is top 80% of cars.

Anyway I have a 2008 red Evo X with 31,500 miles all stock. I'm looking to sell it. MSG me if you want

I have a 2008 EVO X - only has 14k miles on it. Don't really drive it much.
I also had a 2001 S2000 that I had for 3 years - drove about 12k.

It seems we are looking for the same type of car - that is fun, nimble, good feedback and quick.

I do hope the FRS/BRZ can be a "cheaper" fun, daily driver with decent gas mileage that I can drive without worrying about it.

Back in the day the S2000 was a headache, people stole antennas, ripped your top, stole your seats, not to mention it was a door/fender ding magnet

Evo X also gets a little too much attention, with the huge wing and all.

I hope the wife lets me keep the EVO X when I buy the BRZ though.

Almost bought an X instead of the FRS but changed my mind. Drive way to many miles for an X to be a good idea.

I was considering an X as well before I bought the FRS. Was going to trade in my WRX for it, but I wanted to try something different than my WRX yet similar to my old 300zx so that's how I ended up with the FRS. Now I've been throwing around other ideas about the X again, I think it's only because I never got to drive one and feel what it's all about.

They are a blast but still have their good and bad points. These are one of those cars that you could not get me to buy used unless I personally knew the previous owner though.

I'd take a gamble on one. Though, my situation has me parking my car for the majority of the year...

I looked at some before getting the FRS. All three claimed "lightly driven". Bullshit! One had rub marks in both the front and rear wheel wells and nice shiny nuts and bolts holding the suspension together. Asked and was told "oh no the suspension has never been touched. really, truly, honestly. The whole car has always been stock and was never driven hard ever".

Yeah and those cars are a good amount of $$$ for a new one.

Past tense. Unless of course you can find one now.
