A shop's going to probably charge you an hourly rate and, conservatively, they're going to estimate 5 to 6 hours to complete the job.

You may look for regional members on the forums that may be willing to help you with the install. You're no where near us or I'd say drive it on over and we'll get it done. I'm sure you'll find more members that are willing to do the same.

Did anyone else get a CEL after unplugging the ECU cable harness?

Need some clarification on the ECU harness, the plug to the lowest facing me does not fit the socket so I moved the cable to the 3rd last slot.

Thanks, I may do that

San Diego. May be a while before I purchase the kit, though.

Did I install this correctly? It was surprisingly easy. I didn't remove any panels, glovebox, or disconnect any other plugs. Just stuck my head under there, undid the 3rd plug, connect green harness to ECU, then chassis harness to the green harness.

Also, what parameter do we look for in the logging screen to verify that it's getting the data?

Thanks,
Garland

BTW, great write up, @post_break!

Note to everyone: make sure all the fuel line AN fittings are tight, even the ones that appear to be pre-tightened from Visconti. One of mine was hand-tightened and leaked fuel

Great write up & photos @post_break

I take it this DIY is the official install guide for the kit? If so, would be great if you can show us non-harnessed peeps where to tap for the 12V/ground and that white wire to the ECU.

Looks good. The ECUtek parameter for logging is 'Custom Map F Result' (if I remember correctly).

We're going to be installing @post_break's kit this weekend (hopefully) and those two items are definitely on the agenda to cover. We began to lose light during my install and couldn't see striped wire colors all that well with the flashlight we were using. I had already tapped for a dashcam and winded up using the same 12v/ground connections.

I'll have to get with John @Visconti to see which wire is to be tapped on the ECU harness side for that white wire.
