Plus the FRS is cheaper...

Only thing I envy on the BRZ are the headlights.

Different strokes for different folks. I prefer the FRS but I like both cars. Whether its a BRZ or FRS we pretty much all drive the same car and I show love equally.
I couldn't have said it better. Love the headlights, the rest, I don't really care about. I actually prefer the car without a wing.

For what it's worth, I actually like the frs front end better but it's all the little things that make the car an obvious non-choice for certain target markets.

16-23 year olds will go scion, older people and more mature are picking up the brz. This is a pretty obvious detail that I've seen hanging out with all the local guys.
lol. I guess I could ask for more fun little switches (speaking of autozone)....or are we talking about the "carbon fiber?" Guess I could paint it silver and look like yours. This is my first car without leather seats and I much prefer it to leather.

As far as the age is concerned, it might be where you are because I have yet to see an FRS owner under the age of 23. I know they are out there, but I haven't met one yet. I'm 31....I bought the wrong car. Damn.

Edit : You do realize this is a never ending banter right? What is there to win? It's not a mustang vs camaro fight, it's a twins fight....key word is "twins"

Semantics. His reading comprehension is fine.

This thread is for Subaru owners needing to reaffirm their perceived "superiority" (yes, those are sarcastic quote marks) because Scion released a decent special edition model that makes some BRZ owners feel less special. Who cares?

I'm also sick of people using the term "rice" and "ricey." Those terms are racist, and being used as a negative to imply there is something wrong with the way some people like to mod or personalize their cars; often referring to the glowing emblems on the 10 Series. Again: who cares?

I'm excited for my 10 Series. My husband works for Toyota and it never occurred to me to even look at a BRZ even though it has some features that the FRS lacks. It doesn't make it a better car: it basically just makes it more expensive. The features are worthless unless you want them.

I doubt my shift knob will rattle. The emblems glow when you open and close the doors. Stop drinking the HATERade people.

Agreed. They only light up when unlocking the vehicle. And if the idea of it "rice" then someone should really let Mercedes know because they are going to offer it on as option on ALL their upcoming vehicles and as a upgrade available to anyone with a current Mercedes.

I don't care for the color, and the lights are gimmicky, and the BRZ still looks better, so no.

I bought exactly what I wanted.

Exactly. Moving from a Limited BRZ to a FR-S 10 series is a lateral move at best.

If the 10 Series had a supercharger/turbo then yes... I would be interested.

Where I'm from, the exact opposite is true. People who are around or passed the age of majority and who have more financial responsibility are picking up the FR-S because they don't care about many of the "features" the BR-Z packs or what it looks like and it's cheaper with the same driving experience. That and the FR-S is more readily available than the BR-Z.

It's brand-whoring 16-23 year olds that need to differentiate themselves that pick up the BR-Z to have something to show the FR-S guys. You know, those kids who need to wear true religion or have to buy those 30 dollar trucker hats or the 50 dollar Von Dutch BS? Where did that Von Dutch shit go anyways? No one wears it anymore because it's not the in thing.

Image becomes less important as you get older. At least that's for the good majority of people where I'm from.

Well your wrong.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scion_(automobile)

Scion's average buying age is the youngest in the industry. I personally don't care about the badge on the car. Whether it by Scion vs Subaru. I picked the BRZ because it had the features I wanted and the FR-S did not. Simple as that. I am 42, so I guess that makes me old.

The only way this would be logical is if you had leased your FRS/BRZ and this was available to you as an option after your lease was up.

Edit: Haha then scion 10 series commercial just came on.
