any "image" the frs is getting the brz will get too they are twins appart from a mouth gaurd and some interior peices they are the same thing.

like snap said, dont rely on other people to dictate how the "image' of the car is perceived.

least wee can still play with the car while it isnt on!

Nobody has any control at all on what others do to their own cars let alone how their cars are "perceived". Personally, I think people should spend less time being worried how others are "ruining" their cars and focus more on enjoying their own.

Exactly. People have a general "idea/stereotype" for vehicles. That happens. But when you roll up on mine and you look at it for it's individual merits, you forget totally about the "idea/stereotype" you had. I can care less about what the general thought is. I build it how I see fit and my cars are judged by it's own set of merits and credentials.

Newbie

I am new to this forum and I will say, a bit disappointed in the negative and jealous vibe. Almost seems like people are just trolling, waiting to attack and make themselves feel better about their own car by picking apart every mod or upgrade. It is ok to have a different opinion and to be proud of your own car but geez, be polite.

we've gotten so used to being negative about the car that we've started to argue about the brz>frs shit again. I thought everyone got passed that last summer

Energy Suspension = Poly-urethane body mount and shifter bushings. Big brake kit is next, caliper covers are great marketing meanwhile.

Garage
I lurked on this forum for months doing research before I bought my FRS and actually joined the forum a few days after I bought it in June 2012. I did initially want a BRZ because I thought it would be great to match my fiance's SWP Outback XT with my own SWP BRZ Limited, but I didn't want to pay the extra $5k-$9k+ for a BRZ or driving/flying out of state to procure one at MSRP on June 1st when I just walked on a Scion lot and bought my FRS.

As it turns out, I love both the FRS and BRZ--and am glad I've yet to run into any mean people at the various meets. They're the same car with a few cosmetic/electronic differences--one has HIDs/NAV/butt warmers+ and a mustache and the other is just basics with no mustache...

Why on earth there should be any animosity or inferiority/superiority issues with any of the Scion or Subaru owners (or potential owners) is beyond me. I call BRZs the big sister because they cost more, but I've certainly enjoyed all the sponsored events the Scion dealers and Toyota/Scion have put on for FRS owners and I'm glad they also extend welcomes to BRZ owners at the events so it keeps our communities together and doesn't alienate one group simply because they're in the minority.

I'm glad people are on the forums researching the car--they should know what they're getting into before buying and then they can join in the efforts to build and continue strengthening our community of enthusiasts.

Also--so what if you don't like the show car... I'm not a fan of the Rocket Bunny stuff or big giant wings, but I can certainly appreciate other people's aesthetic and the hard-earned money/time/effort they've put into creating a car they love.

My FRS is my DD, so I don't appreciate a lot of the becauseracecar stuff for myself, but I don't begrudge anyone else's choice to indulge in their own aftermarket binges.

Guys, guys, guys! No need to fight! No one else will ever own this EA car. They'll have to make outrageously high payments for multiple DLC packs and only get small fractions of the equipment that won't function properly and if too many people try to look at them at the same time, the parts will just fall off the car and break themselves.

All your base are belong to me.

Haha, I lol'd.
I dislike EA, but not enough to give up on Criterion just yet. Or BioWare. Or any other talented developer that just happens to be associated with them.. Although I did skip the last NFS game in favor of Horizon.

Lol Norse, if you knew anything about marketing you would know there are no payments at all on anything here including the car, only revenue. We only picked it for our tour because it was the latest hot topic at SEMA Keep saving up for your BRZ! Vroooooom!
