Two reasons, one is the increase in track (So Offset+Width plays a role), the other is that in Australia the wheel cannot protrude beyond the body work (So effectively no "poke" if you define that as beyond the bodywork).

The reasons are mechanical safety (increased track increases the risk of component failure), and Pedestrian safety (Poke increases the risk of pedestrian injury).

This is Australia so we'd rather prevent you from doing something stupid, than allow you to do it then sue somebody.

So if you were to run wide and put wider arches/flares on your car to cover the tire/wheel would it still be a no go due to insurance as well? And you have it backwards people wait for you to something stupid they they sue you..

We both know what we mean - you can't prevent stupidity.

You'd have to get the car inspected and certified before it would be legal to register it. Then you'd have to declare it to your insurance company who could still refuse to cover you.

10's do not fit on the front anyways without a stupid hella flush setup.

I am running 18x9.5 +38 fronts with 235's and this is as aggressive as you can go without adding more negative camber (I am at -1.5) and messing with your fenders / fender liner as well

a 12mm socket doesn't fit over a 20mm nut. you don't need to try it to know it

Typo... lol ever notice your "U" and "I" key are right next to each other?

Also, I'll have pics of a square 18x10 setup that CAN be used on track days when I'm back in the country without the stupid amount of camber you have embedded in your mind.

I have to agree with you. I don't see why you could not run 10" in the front. Many people run 9.5" wide wheels and it looks fine. With the correct offset and camber settings, it should be able to be done.

On topic, the WRB and white looks gorgeous. Nice job.
