To me just about 100% of cars in the 80s were hideous. The ones that didnt look like several different sized boxes stuck together in different ways were festooned with ugly black plastic trim pieces and MASSIVE disgusting bumpers.

The Porsche above it a great example. Sexy lines ruined by terribly trim and bumpers. Not to mention the wheels.

I know it's not from the 80s but close enough maybe? A 1976 BMW 2002 with a group 2 wide body and a swapped in S14M3 engine or the E92's V8.

Love the Fuchs wheels! The slant-nose isn't my favorite, but for sure there's something about the air-cooled 911s throughout the run from the mid-60s to the late 90s. Modern 911s are cool and all, but look *seriously* bloated in comparison.

Agree the bumpers are a bit unfortunate, but if I ever buy a 911, a 1987-89 will be high on the list. Maybe 964 bumpers can be grafted on...

For me, this car has just the right blend of curvaceousness and angularity, whereas the modern 458 looks a bit bloated and blobular to me.

For sure, every era has had its stunningly beautiful cars and its dogs. The mid-70s through mid-80s or so was kind of a weak point in history for styling, though...

It ain't the 80's and really probably wouldn't be the BEST looking if I factored in everything but just off the top of my head this is pure sex and there is no comparison.

Well if we are going to jump off topic I'd have to say a db5 would be more in the "Astons I'd commit war crimes for" range. That or the dbr9:

80's Astons though.....
