I don't think you guys really get this, this is a huge turn for Alfa Romeo, they could bring years of great cars coming to America. It is expensive, at 60K but its still Italian and still gorgeous, i am for one happy that Alfa will sell this car in America.

This might convince other European only brands that their might be a market for their cars here in the US.

Yes but you forget they did bring a car already, 8C anyone?

That was limited production though.

You don't see a company doing anything successful here with one car. The successful ones have multiple models over multiple platforms that justify bringing a halo car to the market. Last I heard, Alfa was not a part of any of the larger car conglomerates.

Long story short, its impossible to get a foothold in a market with only 2 expensive cars.
