i've been reading all the reviews out so far. Quite a few of them already.

I think a set of stiffer sway bars and better tires and i'll be a happy camper. Should pair nicely with the NSX.

Looking at this as my next DD so doubt i'll want to lower it even...

Wish we'd get some real MPG stats soon.

That's what the Sti version is for.

The premium is exactly what I want...I wish they added the push start though...oh well it's still going to be a sweet ride

no offense, but the push start was what i hated most on the S2000. you basically needed two hands to start the car. one to turn the key and the other to press the button. if you're talking a keyless/wireless pushstart like BMWs then I think I could support that (well, until the battery in my key fob dies)

This system is just like the Nissan and BMW system. keyless start/stop. Just have the fob on your person and it will start with the button alone.

The result of the forum poll regarding NA [or current HP as enough] vs either SC or Turbo [meaning want more power].....

44% said NA
56% said .....want more power.

So I guess the majority on this forum feel that while the car is great, and we all do, a bit more power would be welcome; that is also the opinion of many of the car magazines and enthusiast web sites who have reviewed the car.

It is not to say that the car is worthless as it is! We are all enthusiasts, a part of the def of that is that we want more....always more....it is never enough. There is no sports car that I know of that did not have an increase in its powere figures as new models appeared. No one ever said, I am not going to buy this car now because it has 25 or 35 more hp compared to the last model. More power, as long as it was within the capabilities of the chassis to handle said power, is always a better thing.

Good motoring guys and I love the enthusiasm of my fellow forumers.
I respect all your opinioins whether they are different or the same as mine.

This car is in a very sensitive price point. I think a few thousand here and there could cause this car to be a runaway success or a potential flop.

We all want more power, hell.. why not... but I bet a large majority of that 56% will drop off once they realize they have to pay a few more thousand for that extra power.

Agree with you though in that this car would have been nice to have a little more power. They really squeezed out all they could out of this motor. It's got a 12.5:1 compression ratio for christ sake!

Honestly I'm going have to see both of these cars when they are released because it sounds like all the Subaru premium has over the Scion is a nav, hids, and the led drls and that's not enough for me to pay an extra 3 grand over the Scion.(assuming the premium brz will be about $25,000 and the scion around $21,000)

You are right.
I think if this was someone only ride and a daily driver, they may want to have the goodies like NAV and heated seats etc. etc., but not if this was a second or third car.

Yeah. It'll be my daily driver to replace my GS-R, my other cars are my second and third cars :P

With regards to POWER.

I believe Toyota is not happy with rumours of Supercharger and Turbo, especially with Subaru adding fuel to the fire by talking about adding more power.

Subaru needs to learn marketing from Toyota.

What the rumours are doing is making a BIG chunk of potential buyers WAIT OUT the initial release, which will affect sales.

I admit I would like the car to have an extra 50hp, then I would have NO NEED for another high powered car as a secondary weekender car. I'm seriously thinking of buying the Toyota 86 as a daily driver to replace the Corolla and Impreza and then buy a used 370Z, R34 GTR or even a used Subaru WRX STI hatch (2011) just to have that "bigger" gun on the sides.

I believe many are in the same boat.... in terms of researching if a boosted version is coming out indeed and second guessing purchasing one at initial launch.

Toyota and Subaru needs to come out and say if there is a boosted version and tell everyone now that it'll cost an extra 10K (USD) so atleast this will help initial sales, allowing people waiting to make a decision about value for money.
