Brand loyalty is a terrible concept in the first place... buy products based on sound research, reviews and value!

If the FT-86 was branded a Pontiac Fiero I would still buy one. It's just a badge kids, get over it!
I think there shouldn't be an argument. If he likes Subie, he gets Subie. If you like Scion better, you get Scion. It's personal preference. You don't want to call someone a retard for doing this or that, and you don't want Hachi to warn/ban you for using offensive response either.

I'm getting the Subie, because I like the lights a little better. But mostly because I currently own a Subie, and I can probably swing a better deal through my dealer...

Your right, it makes perfect sense to pay Subaru a 35% surcharge because they love to kick Canadians in the balls. We should reward them with our business. Not only do we pay 35% extra, we pay 13% tax on that 35% extra.

I'm not going to say one more word against the people that choose to give Subaru money. I'm just going to shit all over the brand to anyone and everyone that will listen until they fix their retarded Canadian pricing.

Subaru Impreza WRX 5 door: USA: $25595 Canada: $33400 - 35% markup Subaru you F-U-C-King bastards!
Scion TC: USA: $19300 Canada: $20850 - 8% Markup
Genesis Coupe 2.0T: USA: $22250 Canada: $24899 (Plus $2500 cash rebate) - Equal when paying cash.
Mazda Miata Base: USA: $23200 Canada: $29000 - 25% markup
Ford Mustang V6 Base: USA: $22310 Canada: $22249 - V6 is cheap here but the V8 costs $9000 more!
Toyota Camry: USA: $20195 Canada: $23700 - 16% markup
Lexus IS 250: USA: $33595 Canada: $33895 - 1% markup!
Honda Civic SI: USA: $22405 Canada: $26000 - 17% markup
BMW 128I: USA: $31050 Canada: $36000 - 16% markup
Audi A4: USA: $32500 Canada: $37800 - 15% markup
Porsche 911: USA: $82100 Canada: $93700 - 15% markup
Infiniti G37 Coupe: USA: $37600 Canada: $46700 - 25% markup

I wanna see that 3rd option FR-S headlight option we have seen. Also, I like the red/black interior, how come you guys don't like em?

Tho, I hate the fact Scion took out the switches, and the frame-less mirror out of the Scion.

I chose the FR-S with hopes it will be less expensive. The radio will be removed as soon as I buy it and gauges will take its place like in the TRD model. Could care less about the hvac shit however I'm sure I can source the controls from the BRZ or FT and swap them. The tray also might allow me to put a single din in with some minor work allowing me to still have some tunes.

Not sure it if read my response correctly.
Just like I said, let him enjoy this BRZ and you enjoy your FRS. People are willing to pay for more expensive alternative, it doesn't make them retards.

Edit: I also choose FR-S because I can have more money to spend to personalize the car.

If nothing else this forum has me torn. I will now go and check out both and make my decisions at or around time of purchase, based on what I learn from the test drive along with attitude of the dealership's etc.. There will be a lot I will be paying attention to with this one. Worked on car lots for quite awhile as a kid, I know the game.

I have some brand loyalty and connection with the Toyo dealer, it's were I bought my truck.. I know the owner in a roundabout way through my relationship's with were I worked in the industry last. So unless Toyo really screws up, by what they bring with factory extras and the like, versus the Suburu I'll go with the FR-S..

Yet to be decided!

I currently drive a 92 240sx fastback with an s13 front end and sr20det swap. Im now 30 and would rather have all the stuff I want in a car standard.
I understand, you being 30(not bad at all) would like a car with a comfortable interior. But for me being the "Boy Racer" type, I could care less about an interior.

I like how the FR-S seems more basic and sporty...
