Nvm decided to contact scion and this was the convo.

GregS: Hi, my name is GregS. How may I help you?
Eder Quintero: Hello
Eder Quintero: I own a scion FR-S
Eder Quintero: And it was one of the first at my dealer
GregS: What can I answer?
Eder Quintero: its was to be a first 86 and was never picked up
Eder Quintero: is there any way I could find out if it was?
GregS: One moment.
GregS: The first 86 program was a program where customers submitted there names and were selected to have the options of being the first 86 to get there vehicle.
Eder Quintero: That i understand
GregS: There is no way to determine when your vehicle was in line after that.
Eder Quintero: well doesn't scion have a list of VINs?
GregS: No we do not have a VIN list of customers who were not selected.
Eder Quintero: By what the salesmen told me it was a first 86 car but the person who ordered it decided he didn't want it anymore so it went up for sale.
Eder Quintero: im just trying to verfiy if what the salesmen said was true
Eder Quintero: car was at dealer late May and was sold to me June 1
GregS: The dealer may have very well been one of the first vehicles off the production line after the first 86 got theres.
GregS: Unfortunately, no way to verify it.
Eder Quintero: so out of all the 86 winners. There is no history of VINs that went to the 86 winners?
Eder Quintero: So I could sell my car as one of 86 and can get away with it with no verification?
GregS: We have the names of the first 86, but we cannot give them out.
Eder Quintero: and those names are not attached to a vin?
Eder Quintero: Sorry to be so repetitive just want to get rid of any doubt.
Eder Quintero: here is my complete vin JF1ZNAA15D1700804 It can be ran back to this name for verification.
GregS: One moment.
GregS: What did you want to know?
Eder Quintero: Was this car one of the FRS in the first 86 program
GregS: I am sorry you are confused about the program.
GregS: It might be easier if you called us at 866-707-2466 so we can verbally explain the program.
Eder Quintero: i understand the program 86 people won a chance to build a FRS to the spec they wanted
GregS: The program allowed customers to buy the vehicle of their choice before everyone else.
Eder Quintero: correct im on the same page as you
GregS: The first 86 program is about the customers, not the vehicle.
GregS: 86 customers were selected. The VIN is not relevant till the customer purchases the vehicle.
Eder Quintero: ok so the customer builds his/her FRS
GregS: If a customer ordered an FR-S and cancelled a dlr may have gotten there vehicle, but that vehicle is not part of the First 86.
Eder Quintero: thank you
Eder Quintero: thats what I wanted to know
GregS: We would have went to the next "customer" and they would be next.
GregS: Your welcome.
GregS: Thank you for contacting Scion.
Eder Quintero: Just wanted to know I the car gets one of these
File attachment upload has started.
The file first86.jpg (114.17KB) was received.
GregS: The customers got them, not the vehicle.
Eder Quintero: Cant blame me for trying to set it apart from others
GregS: I believe they also got a trip to Los Angeles and a RC car.
GregS: Glad I can clarify.
Eder Quintero: Yes I did see that too but I just wanted to know about the plaque
Eder Quintero: Thank you for your time Greg and sorry for the hard time
GregS: Not a hard time, glad I could clarify.

So yeah ima make a plaque and say it was a first 86 lol

Looks like it came in a pretty cool box. Is it just a box, or is there anything special about it as well? Also, I'd really like to see this stuff in the car! You guys are pretty lucky.

It wasn't a first 86 car. First 86 is a program that involves a customer and a car. The contract is completed is when a First 86 winner completes their purchase and takes possession of the car, whereupon the customer derives certain benefits, including trips, and a specially marked car. Since that never happened, you do not have a First 86 vehicle. All you have is one of the earliest production cars. If it is worth more money because of that, all power to you.

The shame is that if the First 86 winner had cancelled it would have gone to someone on the waiting list and would have been entered in the program.

I predicted for a console badge. I got my "last gift" today. No complaints
@Nevermore: As for the box, it is a heavy aluminum box. It's very nice IMO. Im not sure what I should store in it, if I place the badges in the car (probably will).

Maybe turn it into some sort of 86 display. Turn it on its side and put a scale model of the car inside it. I don't know, someone more creative than me might have an idea. Haha.
