Sorry to see that. With gap insurance you shouldnt be out too much but of course if you get a new one you will end paying taxes on it again, etc. It would be interesting to see what the insurance company would sell the vehicle for.

It will be fine all you have to do is make sure to keep it turned off then put in a bag of dry rice for about 48 hours then it should work! Jk.

But seriously that sucks.. why is there so much standing water on the road.

Allstate tried to do that to me with a salt water flood car. Bastards.

Done right it should be fine, especially if they attend to it immediately. Of course, having things done right in the NYC area isn't easy. And insurance always tries to cut corners.

I work at a body shop. Some insurance companies actually try to give it an estimate, while others say its their policy that if water reaches lower seat cushion it's totaled....

In the last two years we had 4 flooded cars at the shop. One was just scraped. The other 3 were repaired.

Of the 3, the Toyota Avalon and Acura TL were just fine. Replaced quite a few sensors and modules. A few were replaced a few times since it kept blowing from a short.

A RDX we had was worthless. We had to probably replace ALL the harness and sensors to make it work right. Wouldn't have been worth it.

All had to be aired out for awhile....

The BRZ may be worth a try, but never know til u try....
