Kinzo: That's the single best solution for the front plate I've seen to date, period. End of story.

The GrimmSpeed and Perrin solution don't appeal to me at all as they ruin the symmetry.

I just bolted my plate directly into the black part and I think it looks fine but that bracket Kinzo posted is the win. I need one of those.

Does anyone here know if we can order just the stash portion of the BRZ front bumper? If that's the case I don't mind buying a second spare and drill baby drill into the bumper.

I feel for the OP.. Atleast in the U.S u guys get the option of pre drilling or not.. In Aus we don't have the option.. It's drilled on the assembly line before shipping BUT the chance of ten mucking it up like the OP's I presume is very unlikely...

Made my dealer put it in my contract that they would not drill the bumper.

Heck, after I saw how badly they butchered the clearcoats of the cars on their lots I told them I'd walk if my car is washed or the plastic is removed.

I asked my salesman a couple weeks before my car arrived to NOT install the front license plate mount. Here's how that turned out:

I just picked my Firestorm up & found they just drilled 2 holes in the plastic grill under the bumper. A plate looks OK that way, but I agree it does look better with no plate at all. I was REALLY GLAD they didn't make a mess of it!

I got this link from the other thread that Kinzo posted before:

http://www.hidetheplate.com/product_...3l390pq12q2193

That is an interesting alternative. However, I wonder how *legal* it is as in some states the law requires the plate to be at least certain height or so.. I think.

The mustache portion of the BRZ bumper is part of the bumper itself; i.e. it's all one piece except the 'stache is not painted (or it's painted black?). It's the same way on the rear bumper with the diffuser portion.
