The primacies are quieter imo. To be fair, the road noise isn't all that bad. It's loud but unless you're focusing on it, it shouldn't bother you. Plus you kind of get used to it. Unless you have a second car that you drive in regularly, I don't think it'll be a deal breaker. I'd say get the 17s unless you really want the features that comes w the car on 18s.

If you are worried about road noise, this type of vehicle is not for you, go buy something German.

I think the highway road noise is OK given the performance and price point of the car.

Here is a sample of what I go thru when I drive on the highway right now. Studded winter tires, unfortunately all the snow has disappeared literally 2 days after my winters arrived. Debating putting summers back on this week. And no, that is not engine noise or exhaust lol.

My twin is very loud. Not a luxury drive at all. Sounds and feels like an old school sports car. Love it. I need to start wearing earplugs on long drives.

You don't know pain until you install a TRD catback. Worst drone possible. I installed a Header then it was unbearable.

, Roll center adjuster set, and a carbon drive shaft. I think they all contribute to the noise. I have more road noise than engine noise. Last edited by Sapphireho; 02-06-2022 at 08:06 PM. |

After a 300 mile road trip I didn't find the road noise too bad. Most of the noise seems to be coming off the road and not wind or engine/exhaust.
With the PS4's the noise seems to be very dependent on the road surface. Aged asphalt with a more stony composition and some concrete can be pretty loud. The rest, is pretty manageable. |

First gen here, more concerned about lacking stereo to compensate for road noise. Conversation is fine. Choice of tire will make it significantly worse or better.

I was concerned after reading complaints of road noise, but driving home from the dealership this week, nearly 4 hours on the highway and it wasn't an issue at all. In fact quieter than some other cars I've had. Both windows down and cd playing. No rattles either.
