I had a similar decision moment back when I bought the BRZ except the choices were DGM (Asphalt) and the GBS (dark blue).. SWP is a decent color, however it is more flat compared to asphalt in direct daylight. The rainbow metallic sheen Asphalt has in certain lighting is a trip. Plus it looks black at night which adds to the variety of shades you see your car. For those keeping the stock wheels, you have to say that asphalt is the best match colorwise of the choices.

Man whiteout is like setting foot on the beach in Cancun for the very first time. The sand looking unlike anything you have ever seen. "Is this baby powder? My god this is amazing"

If you buy a color just because it shows chips less, you might end up regretting your decision and kicking yourself for not getting what you wanted. Don't ever settle for any color than you really want.

Since you are down to those two colors, as much as Whiteout is outplayed, I'd still vote over Asphalt. As I have said before, Asphalt is a good color, but I don't think it's suited for the shapes and image of this car. Now, that similar shade I think looks great on a car like the new Corvette C7, as it just works very well. Whiteout flows on this car extremely well, as white does on the LFA and IS-F. Granted those are Toyota based paints but even the 2000GT (similar lines) fits very well in white.

My only gripe is white has been overused due to the euro scene explosion, and the younger generation has eaten it up. Just my opinion.

I have a SWP and sometimes I feel like I got the wrong color. The asphalt has such a nice shine but the blue pearl pops in the SWP. But red looks so nice. It's hard to find wheels for the SWP -_-

Asphalt...not biased or anything.

Whiteout is just too common. Asphalt looks amazing when clean, still pretty good when dirty, and awesome in rainy weather as well. It's a masculine color and there aren't a ton of cars on the road with a color like it.

Both great colors. I'm always partial to white, but the dark grey would be my second option. Stupid name for a color tho.

I wanted the grey when I bought the car but couldn't find one. Settled on white.
