STI Pinks vs BRZ TS Springs

So I tried to take a quick peek at my 2020 tS.

Fronts have BLUE and YELLOW marks and I couldn't see any markings on the rear other than the STi logo.

Rear spring markings should be inside facing. Looking at mine from the wheel well also only show STI. You can kinda see it on the right one in the pic (wish I woulda known i would have grabbed a better shot)

Alright so I have moved on from the STI 2018 Ts Springs. Before they go to classifieds just thought I would get that picture of the rear spring markings. Looks like its Yellow and Purple.These are certainly a step up from stock and honestly I debated pretty hard in moving into a different setup.

Function: Wanted more a firm setup wasn’t feeling the little bit of body roll still left in cornering. I am very picky on suspension feel. Lol

Form: the extra .5 in drop my eyes couldn’t ignore.

If my current setup doesn't workout. I’ll move into higher end Coilovers and call it a day. Currently on 19 Sach Dampers/ Swift Spec R/ Eibach bump stops - Time will tell.

With what your after yes, these only can be found on Ts models.

What's the exact drop for tS springs?

Κeep also in mind that the newer cars lost a bit their tail happy nature and have a more under-steer behaviour. Meaning being more complaint with overall consumer safety and the like.

Thanks for the link. This would put the JDM STi spring rates at roughly 200f/240r.

I have yet to drive the newer cars but I’ve heard they’ve really toned it down in the rear springs. I found the JDM STi springs + Bilstein B6 too tail happy like you say on the track, so I added a TRD front bar (21mm) and Mann rear bar (13mm) which seemed to really balance things out.

It would be nice to know the spring rates of the new STi springs though.

Sorry to bump this thread again. I figured for the sake of documentation. I'd provide an update as I've decided to go back to the 18 Ts Springs! Spec Rs too stiff.

Here is my input, I installed the STI Pink on the MY2015 oem damper back in summer of 2015, the ride was very refine with Michelin PSS....dare i say comfortable. I swapped them on to PP Sachs back in 2017. Let just say it's a bit too hard for shitty roads...



So yes, US tS spring is definitely softer then original STI pinks.




Also another thing is that original STI pinks has STI logo on every springs & they automatically face outwards when seated... so you see a STI logo when you shine a light at each wheel. lol...

Just to clarify, you had the JDM pink springs, first on Showa, then on Sachs; they matched fine with Showa and too stiff with Sachs.
And 2017+ tS versions are softer than JDM pinks?
