I just love this car's stance/wheel/arch relationship...

It seems a lot of enthusiasts make it out to be some crazy big deal and it's always one of the first mods on cars. Even when I had my Subaru all I would ever hear is "lower it"....same with this car.

Yet it's only from enthusiasts. Everyone else always tells me the stock height is perfect.

So why is it such a big deal among us enthusiasts?
This on a board for enthusiasts. This has to be the most boring board ever.

Im more concerned about wheels dont "poke".
Wheel spacers can sooth my ocd about it but i guess i will do more harm then benefit. Also considering aftermarket wheels for that purpose.

Too much wheel gap, like on my old Mustang, and squirrels will hide there during/after hurricanes. I took this after Hurricane Frances, in 2004.

No, sir, they most certainly do not.

Wow.

Correct choice of gauges. Where did we go wrong, humfrz? SMH

It's not just the wheel gap, the way the wheels are sucked in makes it kind of underwhelming. I've lowered my car a little over an inch and put +35 offset 17x9 wheels and when I look at it, it looks more "complete". Before I replaced the stock wheels, it looked like the wheels were an afterthought - so skinny and sunken into the body.

Spacers would do the trick too, but you gotta get the concave - which the stocks don't have.

The purpose of lowering a car is to get a lower center of gravity. The looks are just a +

IMO the stock wheel gap is a bit much for this type of car. If it were some generic sedan, I could see it. I'm dropped about 1" right now on RCE T2's and think it's perfect. Keeps the suspension geometry close to ideal and doesn't look like a 4x4.
