Someone will say 'but it's increased wear!' yeah, like Tcoat said above, 99,999 miles instead of 100,000.
Surprisingly I haven't been honked at yet.

I'm usually around 2k if there are cars behind me. Otherwise I'll practice getting a smooth & quick start at around 1.5k

Stick to the 2K. There is no reason to try to do low rev starts.

Well I am beat to hell and older but the "gentleman" part is up for debate.

My 2015 makes all kinds of crazy clunks and noises - it's a car you are very connected to as a driver. Once you realize it's not going to blow up, it's part of the charm this car offers lol

My 2014 doesn't make any crazy clunks and noises, though. Yours needs fixing imho.

I didn't hear a lot of clunky noises in my friend's 2013, but I'm hearing a lot from my new '17. Maybe his exhaust was loud enough to cover up the sounds, or maybe it was broken in? I also tend to drive with low/no music because listening to the engine helps with the learning process.

Noise is subjective... Are these cars as quiet as a Mercedes (my last car)? No.

Are they as loud as a 69 Mustang with headers and a 428 stroker engine (my other car)? No.

Do people complain about the TRD exhaust being too loud even though I think it is very mild? Yes.

If you are concerned about the noises your car makes, take it to a mechanic you trust for an evaluation.

If there are no mechanical concerns, then only you can determine if the car is too noisy to put up with!

I wouldn't pay 20K for one with 24k on the clock. 16 17 18 are good prices for that
