Give it some time and you'll see 300hp... 500hp...800hp... 1000hp! A small amount will use it at the track, some will use it on the strip and majority will pose in the parking lot!

I want my FT bare bones because everyone knows that "HP makes up for lack of skill"!!!!

In all honesty, 250HP would be plenty of power, assuming the cars weight is reasonable. I'm more interested in how the engine sounds and feels than trying to keep up with [insert actually quick car here].

Agreed. Not to mention fuel economy if being used for daily driver + increase in insurance rates when you get up to 300hp. I want 200-250hp NA boxer engine + RWD. That will make me happy.

Although 250hp would be awesome, its unrealistic for a H4 boxer thats NA to get that high. Especially from production.

True. Most HP out of stock 2L boxer engine I know is EJ204 which was NA w AVCS (DOHC not SOHC) was pushing 190hp

I doubt it too but I do think Subie + Toyota + Yamaha can make a NA with at around 220 or I like to believe so

^This. If Honda can do it with their S2000's, then so can Toyota/Subaru/Yamaha... or am I missing something with flat 4 vs. inline 4?

The more I read up on this FB20 boxer engine the more I'm keeping my mind on exactly 200hp.

It says the FB20 that will be put into the new Impreza should be pushing roughly 148hp in the econobox version. The FB25 is basically the same output as the EJ25. My guess is that with Toyota's D4-S system, and further performance refinements, 200hp will probably be the max they'll get out of it without suffering too much in the MPG/emission / drivability departments.

148 -> 200 is quite a leap in N/A form using the same engine, let alone 220 or 250.

200HP = 131Lb/Ft @ 8k RPM. 131Lb/Ft out of a 2.0L N/A shouldn't be too tough. The S2000 had 153Lb/Ft from the F20C engine, and the 1.8L Toyota 2ZZ had 133Lb/Ft in the 7th gen Celica.

On paper, getting that torque level should be possible.
