Maybe an American vs Canadian thing but I would hang and cruise with anybody of any age at a meet or event and not think it was "creepy" in the least. Now trips to the mall or dinner and a movie would be a whole different level on the "creepy" scale. I have talked to and hung with guys that were only 17 or 18 years old and had a great conversation. I have also hung with guys my age that were total asshats. Age plays very little part in my assessment and interaction with people and at least having the same car starts us out with some common ground and interests. To rule a person out strictly based upon age means you can miss out on meeting some great people.

Don't sweat it. Just interact like everybody else and they will forget. Half the time on here I act like I am 14 and most of them tolerate me just fine. What you say is how you will be judged in the long run. The whole age thing will blow over.
There were some good ideas thrown out there though and if you hit the Regional Subs that were linked way back at the start you will probably see meets and events you will be welcomed at.

I can verify this, I'm 27 and a asshat.

I'm in the Orlando area, 20, just got my brz couple weeks back. As far as everyone is talking about their driving expertise, I guess I thought I was a heck of a lot better than I am because I drove over a pot hole and blew out a tire last week and then 2 days later backed into a pole and did $3,700 worth of damage to the rear quarter panel. Makes me sound like I'm the worst driver, but I guess at the very least I'm responsible for my mistakes. Hopefully in around 6 months I'll have enough saved up to go about fixing it, until then it's just a scar I get to laugh about. I went down to Miami once btw and couldn't stand the drivers, idk how you do it.

The main reason I wanted an FRS/BRZ was to perfect my driving I've always been a good driver but you really can't go to a race track and do some laps with a old Lexus es300 thats under your mother's name

Sure you can. Wouldn't be much fun and she would be pissed if you wrecked it but any car can be tracked.
