makes sense, same issue i had when i looked into the swap. Its the issue of paying at once; only thing a cd009 might be cheaper down the road ( replaceable, will hold more power and waaaaaaaaaaaay smother

Update 5/25:
We have started ordering preventative/necessary parts for the engine. JDM engines are usually a little rough and have been sitting in a warehouse or on a boat for who knows how long. Here are the parts we are replacing: Timing Belt Water Pump Water Pump Housing (The JDM water pump assemblies are completely wack) Spark Plugs Valve Cover Gaskets PCV Breather Hoses Thermostate And this is only what we have found so far, I'm sure there will be more to come as far as that goes. We are currently waiting on a couple of these to come but I couldn't resist at least sitting it in the car so to see where it is so far. ![]() ![]() Up first in the hack and hammer game is the factory heater hoses and the diagonal cross bar mounts. These definitely have to be removed and the heater hoses need to be as short as possible. ![]() I'll be back with more updates once we get some more parts on the engine and make some more room, hopefully we will get the engine to its final mounting point! |

Man I hope this goes well and stays within a reasonable budget. I would really be interested in having this swap done in the future. Good luck!

Main issue, As I don't mind doing any of the other crap. Are you guys working on being able to supply a plug and play harness? with stock ECU? I would like to just do a simple swap down the road. 1jz vvti with a power fc and exhaust.

Will you be doing anything to help correct the weight distribution? I'm planning on a similar swap way down the road when it's more documented and supported, but I wouldn't want to destroy the handling.
