Based on your inspection it's a pos worth only for scrap.

I mean if I had a ridiculous amount of disposable income I would replace all the parts that need replacing with something better. You're saving a decent amount of money from the fact that it's rebuilt, might as well use that (and as I said a ridiculous amount of disposable income) to make the car better.

The platform is in alright shape. My car was reareneded and the frame was damaged but then rebent back into the shape it once was. Drop an ls in it or an engine of your choice to get rid of that knocking engine, straighten the frame, get new aftermarket wheels and tires to replace the front wheel. New aftermarket suspension and control arm components. Sounds like it will need a new steering rack as well.

Like I said it's a lot of money, but scrap? I wouldn't go that far. One man's trash is another's treasure.

If I had the money and time I'd make this thing a dream come true.

Doubt you're saving any money from having to rebuild it again. Maybe worth it to part out after buying for like 3K or something. This PARTICULAR car looks like a total POS from the Toyota inspection and information provided.

If he's looking for a daily driver ASAP, that car is a pos. Just about everything that could be wrong is wrong. 11,3. Looking at another 10 to make it right? I bout my 13 for 15 in flawless condition. Buying this car for anything but a project is foolish. Keep lookin op you'll find better

Not that I'm recommending to buy it from what we know about it now but they are "asking " $11.3k. Nobody says you can't offer less, like way less. It's not like that's a screaming
deal that will go any second. Maybe they want it gone and lowballing it at $8k and dumping a few grand into it is a way to go. I thought the average 14' with that mileage is going for around $18k. $10k is a lot of wiggle room.

I've been lurking here on threads and read up on salvage builds from guys here as well. I feel it's to each and his own. One thing I will say is that diligent research is critical and how the car was reconstructed is the key.

Unfortunately there's just too many folks out there wanting to make a quick buck that ruins it for the actual ones that took effort to rebuild them. So I wouldn't necessarily condemn salvage/rebuild cars if it was done properly with full documentation.
