If the shift knob you have or someone else that weighs close to a 1lb is probably because it was made from 303 stainless or something.

Like Draco said, lol.... I sent him some files and asked what he could do. He had to take some detail out of the rice bowl, but the feel is still the same. He was really helpful throughout the whole thing... Kept me up-to-date.

His website has all the different styles he offers, n u can ask for custom work.

Loving the shift knob...

I also have a stainless steel knob from WC Lathewerks on my car as well. I would definitely get another one if I buy a BRZ.

Here is the one I just got. It's a copolymer and stainless piston knob. I don't know why but I've always liked the piston knobs for some reason, has the knurled upper portion. Gunmetal finish on the bottom part.

Got mine last week

Blue/Bronze Titanium Piston 3-Knurl Grip Band and shift pattern engraved

Love it feels nice and for some reason the titanium never really seems to get very hot sitting in the sun.

I've had mine installed for a few weeks now. The extra weight does seem to improve shift feel, which was pretty good to start with.

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead, however I am curious how much of a difference there is in size and weight from stock with the WCLW piston?

Its noticibly heavier than stock and taller too. I like it feels easier to shift into gear to me.

I appreciate the reply, any pics comparing it to stock?
