So when I tried plugging in my phone to the Bespoke unit yesterday, I set it on my seat and it made the weight alarm go off on the seat... wtf? As soon as I moved the phone off the seat and in the console, it went away. It makes my sensor way too sensitive. Anyone else notice that?

Phone waves mess with the sensors.

The BRZ is cheaper though. That was one of the reasons I purchased it. The purchase price was cheaper with the FR-S, but the BRZ's insurance was far lower and more than made up for the difference in payment for me. Other's may have had a different experience.

As far as it being the cheapest car you have insured, how many cars have you owned? They toyobaru ran me more then my M3 or my Supra. I guess it depends how many cars are out there and how many people are crashing them. I fear next year will not be a fun insurance year for the FR-S since it seems to be drawing a younger crowd.

The ratio of BRZ on the street to crashed BRZ is just as bad as FRS, in fact in the beginning it was far more lopsided toward the BRZ. This forum has been over the whole "kids buy FR-S" tack over and over. News flash, kids and irresponsible adults buy BRZ and WRX too.

Up here in the Great White North....the Bespoke (Pioneer touch screen) HU is just that....strictly a HU upgrade, although we also have the option of upgrading the factory system with this...

I paid for the Pioneer upgrade (Canada) and after reading all these threads it seems I basically wasted 550$ on it, and will be tearing it out anyways. Sigh. Hopefully I can sell it locally to someone with the base head unit.

It is XM "CAPABLE" in the FR-S. You have to purchase the Sat receiver and antenna. Very cheep on Scion's part for not including SiriusXM in the unit!

Dang.. I like my bespoke. It works flawlessly with my RAZR HD . It runs Pandora and plays CD's .. it works great with my iPad 3 when traveling.. even the FM stations work.. I can hook a amp and sub to it and run a backup cam... Idk why people bitch about nothing.. don't get it and upgrade to something your happy with.. and for what its worth my Google maps thru Bluetooth works so I don't even have to have a screen going.. I can hear what the navi is telling me.. Idk everyone bitches about something now a days

There's really only an issue if they lied about what the system was capable of. If you assumed it was more than it actually was advertised to be, then the fault is really on you, not Scion. However, if they advertised it as being able to do X, Y and Z, but it's only capable of doing X and part of Y, then yeah...I see there being an issue.

Similar to what's been going on in the past few weeks with the PC game "The War Z", if anyone follows that.

Quick question if someone could help me that would be great. Might be a stupid question but I'm ordering my car tomorrow and would love clarification. Is the BeSpoke the same thing as the "premium upgraded pioneer sound system" ???

This is how they describe my audio upgrade option for about $550 :

The Pioneer Premium head unit delivers 200-watts of power, hands-free operation using voice commands, full iPod/iPhone integration - including Album Art - all available at the touch of a finger. It features a 14.3cm touch screen LCD Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display, Scion Sound Processing® (SSP), USB and Aux inputs, MP3, WMA™, and AAC capability and six 2.4-volt RCA outputs for front, rear and subwoofer additions for audiophiles!

If anyone could let me know if this sounds like a worthy option I would appreciate it, I know very little about sound systems but I do appreciate quality sound.
